We visited here on a recommendation from a good friend, we prebooked a table in advance.
We opted for the platter, wasn't disappointed at all, far too much for us both but the food was cooked really nice & all the flavours complimented each other.
It was a bit tight in the restaraunt, bit close to the next table. The food went cold quickly but I put that down to being next to the entrance as the door was wedged open.
The beer was £3.95 a bottle although very nice it was served in 330ml bottles which became expensive after a couple. Wish they would do draft!!!!
Great restaraunt, great food & good service.
First time here on recommendation. Excellent staff, varied menu, lovely food especially the Lebanese bread. Down side I am only visiting Durham so goodness knows when I can go again. Would highly recommend .
Booked a table for Saturday night. The place was so busy but we were quickly shown to table.
Service was impeccable. Food was amazing. Daughter loved the vegetarian mousaka . She feels there is a good choice available here as a vegetarian.
Chatty atmosphere.
Would recommend it.
This is the 3rd time I've visited this restaurant and once again was not disappointed. We ordered off the lunchtime special menu.It was excellent value for money and portion sizes were good. The staff were very polite and helpful.Toilets were immaculate.Overall we had a very pleasant experience and would definitely recommend here.
Ent to Leboneat for a half term meal with my 12 year old and her friend. The service was quick, polite. We had the lunch time menu which is excellent value, we had the wraps which come with seasoned chips 2 of us could only eat half of our wrap, and we were asked if we would like to take them home.... a definite yes as our meal was delicious. My third time there, and I will go again!
Really good buzz and amazing food - tried the platter and couldn't eat it all, so big portion size and vfm.
We had a group meal out here and overall it was great. The restaurant was very full to start with and it was really noisy and a bit hard to relax and chat. Later when the crowds left, it improved. The Lebanese lemonade was tasty and refreshing on a hot evening. I enjoyed my chicken and lamb shwarma meat with salad, glad I didn't ask for chips as it was already very salty and not a vegetable in sight otherwise, aside from a pickle garnish. It wasn't really clear who the flatbreads belonged to as they were just put down in the middle of the table. They were good though, made some tasty wraps.
The vegetarian dishes looked interesting and I think I'd try one of those next time, perhaps with someone who was up for sharing their meat dish - just for balance. It did feel a bit expensive, but a good evening and I'd try them again, but perhaps at lunch time when they're less busy.
Food was excellent, lunch time deal very good value too! The home made lemonade was super tasty.
Came at lunch for a works do. Most of us had the deal of a starter and wrap/chips or rice for £11.95. Starter of spicy potatoes was delicious and def on the spicy side. Main of chicken wrap was large and I couldn't finish it. A couple of friends took half home as they offered a take out. Also do things like pizza if you're not a fan of curry/spice. Very little choice of soft drinks- no soda or sprite on offer.
As an African whose taste buds are used to unique spices, I don’t get easily impressed by foods at some restaurants but Lebaneat completely blew my mind yesterday with their Shawarma chicken. I almost chose to eat the chicken with chips but the waiter suggested that I try it with the rice in order to get the full experience and I am so happy that I listened to him!!! This meal was a party in my mouth and I made sure to eat every single grain of rice & piece of chicken on that plate. I also love that the meals come with some Lebanese bread and garlic sauce! My friends also loved their meals and I heard no complaints.
The service was spectacular and the waiters were always available to assist us with anything. They were also very willing to take photos of my friends and I, which I appreciate so much.
I’ll definitely be returning to this restaurant!!!
Very nice food, tender and juicy lamb with bones. And the lemonade is the best in Durham!
We ordered two wraps with 50% discount today. VIA website. It's the most tastiest wraps in my life. I liked them so much. Thanks.
Update:
Today we hade desserts in the cafe. It was great! 👍
The service is nice as usual
Probably the best restaurant I have visited in Durham. The flavours, presentation and worth for the price made this place a must-visit. The service was good too. Quite the gem in Durham :)
Lebaneat, the Lebanese restaurant, is arguably the best dining spot I've come across in Durham. The flavors and presentation make this place an absolute must-visit. Truly the crown jewel of Durham :)
We had an amazing meal here. They were quite busy, so the service was a bit slow , but it hardly mattered. My appetizer was huge and could easily have fed two. The lamb chops were perfectly cooked, and the bill at the end was surprisingly modest considering the quantity and quality of the food served.
Lebaneat provides an exceptional culinary experience that's not to be missed, setting the bar high for other eateries in Durham.
Had a super two-course lunch here at a very reasonable price. Nice to find a restaurant that offers its lunch menu seven days a week. The Lebanese lemonade was lovely! Generous portions and we had to ask for a doggy bag.
Food was really tasty, service was attentive and quick. Location is out of the way near cathedral and castle and can easily be missed by visitors to both. It is only about 5 minutes walk from the main marketplace and definitely worth a visit. Cards or cash accepted, lunch menu offers reasonable savings. There is no children’s menu.
Have gone to this place several times in the years that I have been in Durham. Quality food. Wraps are very filling but very tasty and lebaneat chips have a lovely spicy coating on them! Only real disappointment is the lack of choice for desert.
Delicious! We had tabbouleh, spicy potatoes, halloumi and falafel wrap, and chicken shawarma. So, so good. Then we had all the desserts!
There's a really buzz to this place. Very popular, so it's great you can book. A bit chaotic at peak but with the warm hospitality its easy to forgive. Food is great. Well prepared, big portions and good value. There are all the staples done well plus some interesting items. They are keeping the menu up to date. Houmus is great and the Baba Ganoush amazing. We had some cheesy pastry rolls that were also great. I loved my chicken kofta. There's only Lebanese wine on the menu, which is novel. We had the Syrah and it tasted great. Unfortunately they'd run out of the Lebanese beer. Fun, tasty, great value!
