Always visit the Flat White when in Durham - super friendly staff, great atmosphere and the food and coffee are amazing. The eggs benedict with ham hock is a must as are the amazing pancake stack. You may have to queue to get in but it is worth the wait!

Small and rustic place with tons of character. Friendly, young staff serving excellent Ouseburn coffee together with a small but delicious selection of cakes, sandwiches etc

What a fantastic find, I will always now favour here instead of a chain. The staff are so helpful and friendly, the food was amazing and great value. The coffee was lovely and served in a big rustic mug. The decor, well I just wanted to move in. Totally in love with the place xxxx

Firstly, great coffee. Highly flavoured, and being served in glass seems to improve the experience. Secondly, great food, including vege/vegan options. Thirdly, great service.

Great coffee in an atmosphere that keeps people coming back. Snack menu not exhaustive, but does what it does do well. Nice to see that they accept cards now. One of Durhams best at the moment. Haven't tried Flat White Kitchen yet, but the same laid back friendly staff will no doubt make sure the brand is safe. Recommend ☕️

Great location, really nice atmosphere. I tried the freshly squeezed orange, carrot and ginger. It was slightly too heavy on the ginger, it certainly left some heat in the mouth.

Quiet hidden away cafe in Durham. Nothing fancy or elaborate. Doing the simple things the right way.

This is a little cute spot in the midst of Durham City. Slightly out of the way, you might miss it if you're not looking. I didn't get a chance to try any of the food on offer but I highly recommend the service and the drinks (Vegan options are available). Absolutely worth a drop in!

Just stopped for a quick flat white en route to the station. The flat white was smooth and delicious. Really friendly staff, lovely atmosphere and in a great spot just off the Main Street so nice and quiet.

Had two flat white coffees, sat on their street seating and enjoyed relaxing. The coffee was perfectly made and probably one of the best coffees that I’ve had in a long time.

Always good to visit. Cake, coffee, tee is all great, and they recently added more light colored wood, to make the place look more spacious, well done.

Went there with my partner and a group of friends for a coffee and a quick bite. We got 3 coffees, a freshly squeezed orange juice and 2 slices of cake. All the food and drinks were very good, as well as the service. The shop is dog friendly too, which is really nice.

I had an espresso here and it was fantastic, mildly fruity and acidic which I like. Definitely a bet of you want a coffee in Durham

Nice cafe in very historical center of Durham. Good coffee and desserts. Places are available either inside or outdoors. It's not very big, the space is limited, but it's cosy, first and foremost due to its location - though it is in the center the cafe is "hidden" between the arches in the calm lane, so it is not seen from the busy tourist streets and thus not overcrowded.
