A regular 'go to' restaurant for us on the outskirts of Durham City. Tremendously good value; staff are attentive and friendly. The decor and furnishings are very pleasing indeed. Food is always of a high quality with a range of pastas and pizzas, alongside chicken, fish and meat dishes........definitely recommend to those who haven't yet visited this restaurant.

Fabulous food at reasonable prices. We can recommend the whitebait / squid / risotto / seafood pasta and the lamb rump!

On our mini break to Durham, We booked a table at Bella Mamma after reading the reviews on Trip Advisor! It certainly lives up to its reviews!! As soon as you walk through the door we were greeted by very welcoming staff and the smell of authentic Italian food! The atmosphere was buzzing even on a Wednesday night! Lovely and cosy, candle lit table for 2! The food was amazing, starter and main course, and a bottle of red! A most enjoyable evening! Would definitely recommend! Its a shame we live so far away as I could see us visiting regularly!

Leaving do from Sainsbury's up the road. Have to say I couldn't fault this place - the food was exceptional, the service attentive and friendly, and it was fairly busy for a Tuesday night which says a lot. Will be back 🙂

Beautiful restaurant, food is amazing and staff are superb and very friendly. The only thing that I have to say is wrong is that it's very cold in the restaurant itself

Great customer service! Delicious starters and bread! The place feels cosy and warm, the music there is fabulous! The main dish was not as tasty as the starters though, the chicken was lacking flavour. Next time I’ll try pasta and pizza, may change my opinion and give it 5 stars. #foodieguide

Perfect. We were seen straight away when we arrived, sat straight away, they even knew that we were the people on the phone half an hour earlier to book a table. They gave us a small glass of cocktail when we were seated. Food arrived really quickly and the quality of the food was incredible. Best restaurant I've visited, with the friendliest staff :)

This is a lovely little restaurant, hidden away upstairs at the corner of Neville's Cross. The service is delightful with friendly staff who are very helpful and welcoming. There's a fruity cocktail on arrival plus bread with olive oil/balsamic vinegar, both on the house. The main courses were well presented and quite tasty - I had tempura battered king prawns and monkfish, not cheap at almost £15, but well cooked and worth the money. House wine was very reasonably priced, and good priced cocktails are also available (approx £5.50). Can thoroughly recommend this place - if you want to go during happy hour (5-6.30pm) then I'd definitely suggest booking a table!

Really good food, great service including a waiter who insisted on singing. Only thing taking it down from a 5 for me personally was the large party of teenagers at the next table. Yes of course they were very noisy, they're teenagers. But it took the edge off it for me.
