This tea house probably is the most classical designed British tea place you could find in Durham. They have good amount of options for teas, and very nice desserts. They offer afternoon tea cakes&sandwiches set. I am particularly very fond of the second floor. It’s so lovely designed and so cottage like. One of the best thing about this place is they have a very big and good conditioned bathroom which is quite rare to see for tea houses. I am really amazed by that as well.

Excellent experience! Delicious food and cake, very nice and enthusiastic staff! We have a very perfect afternoon tea! I will recommend chocolate mint and chai. They are impressively tasty. I am so lucky that I can meet such a nice people before I leave Durham.

If you love homemade cake, you MUST visit this place. The Mars Bar Cookie pie is THE most delicious chocolate experience that I have ever had! There is a wonderful variety on the menu, and you are totally spoilt for choice. Additionally, there is an array of tempting, savoury food including homemade soup. There was seating indoors and outdoors. Lindsay was welcoming, friendly and very helpful. The Tealicious Tea Room is a must if you are visiting the city.

A place where you can get a wonderful cup of tea and a slice of home baked tasting cake and scones. The place captures the essence of traditional British tea culture. It offers a fantastic experience with its classy atmosphere, top-notch service, and delicious treats. The staff are friendly and attentive, ensuring that every aspect of your visit is handled with care. Simply, the best place to have your tea and treats in Durham.

Visited today for afternoon tea with my mother to round off a relaxing overnight break. Excellent service from Lindsay and the team. The food and drink definitely did not disappoint!! The smoked salmon with lemon mayonnaise sandwich was to die for. This was my first visit and I'm certain I will return.

Called in after a dissapointing meal somewhere else earlier. Lovely light and calming decor. Beautiful tea sets and choice of teas on the menu. Great selection of cakes. Fast, efficient and professional service. Had the malteser cake and lemon drizzle, both fresh and delicious. Husband loved the chocolate and mint tea. Lifted our mood no end 😊

What a lovely cafe! Beautiful interior design and friendly, lovely staff. I loved the fact the staff didn't interrupt us to ask us if we want anything else (in other words, to tell us to order something else or we have to leave). The coffee and scone were delicious, I would recommend 100%!

Lovely selection of teas, we had two pots of vanilla Earl Grey home blend, mild and nice without milk. Victoria sponge and a cheese scone were fresh and tasty. All served in interesting china. Ladies serving were attentive and there was a friendly chatty atmosphere.
