Guest. Obviously under new management. He staff were friendly and always happy, food is cheap and great!!! Can't fault it. Love the cheap drinks on Thursday
Lovely friendly staff there little was a little friendly Irish man I believe he was the manager top service always on hand to help. Amazing food great value for money. Will be coming back for sure and will tell all my friends and family about the old sugar loaf
Went in for couple of pints to watch the rugby it was fairly busy, they have a few new beers on bottom bar, great service staff are great keep up the good work
Would have been 10 stars but unfortunately there is a member of staff a bald guy in his 60s very grumpy very rude did not appreciate the fantastic crowd that patronised the pub everyone else was fantastic just the misery guts let the side down
Decided to make this my third point of call for a breakfast, I decided on Farmhouse Breakfast consisting of 2 fried eggs, bacon x2, sausages x2, mushrooms, black pudding, grilled tomatoes with toast and mug of tea.
My only criticism was the tea coming in a mug with tea bag already in it, but for £5.95 I'm not gonna moan to much about that.....so a full 5 stars for the friendly service and good value, I will most certainly visit again
Service with a smile, very short wait times and family friendly. Think similar to spoons style. Would recommend.
They have many deals for meals that makes it a real bargain to eat there. And of course, the food is nice!
I had a good time there with the family. Good food and good vibes. Their two for £14 meal deals are great options.
I was compelled to write this review.
I have tried most of the breakfasts on just eat and have to admit “ The old sugar loaf “ make the best breakfast.
The sausages are my favourite, extremely delicious.
Portions are huge and all at an affordable price.
Thank you, I will definitely recommend them to all my friends and family.
Great pub/bar with DJs at the weekend, karaoke and pub quiz weekly. Staff are great, friendly and cheerful with quick service even when it's busy.
The interior does not fit the historical coaching Inn history which is lost by the current set up hidding its natural construction. However, the front bar area hides a large back interior area. The beer garden is tables and concrete. The drinks were well maintained quality. This is an ongoing concern which is worth a pint and breakfast deal starting at about £6.
We always have a really good night at the Sugar Loaf. There are two bars, the front one starting with 60s, 70s, and the so on, and the back bar with younger pop music. Good DJs. The Loaf has started a Quiz night followed by karaoke.
A great pub, it turns out I've been here before although my memory I blurred by the fact it was a lot be music open mic night and I was a little tipsy 🤣. It's got a great back yard and the food is bangin. The manager is old school the way we like it and the staff are great. Kudos to the chef who filled my belly to aching with a lamb roast dinner at 7.30pm on a Sunday... Fair go guys you're rockin it 👍 They truly deserve the extra star every meal and pont has been ace. Thanks guys
