Thank you to Helen, Karen, Morgan, Rhys and all other staff working today and helping us with our Dunoon Hill Runners breakfast run. 53 runners turned out in what was pretty foul weather for a social run, followed by hot drinks and cakes. Everyone had a great morning. Huge thanks for accommodating a bunch of wet runners! Morven

Usually manage to get a seat - even when it's crowded with coach party or seasonal bookings. Food always beautifully served and enough choice for vegetarians and those with food allergies. Highly recommended.

Always a warm welcome after one of the many great walks in the area. Great food and a good selection of goodies in the shop too. If the kids need something to do they can always try to count the age rings on the redwood tree segment!

We have been to Benmore gardens many times over at least 15 years and have hundreds of photos. Can't think why we never thought of reviewing before as it's one of our favourite locations as we love plants, gardens AND cake! We never miss having a meal or a coffee and cake in the cafe and browsing the shop for gifts to take home. Whoever it is runs the cafe should have stars awarded. The food is fab and service really excellent. Definitely 5 stars. Love it.

Benmore café was lovely. Good wee range of snacks and drinks to have, and food was quite nice. Vegan sausage rolls available which was great. Brownies were magic! Unfortunately plants bought from the shop are extortionate and was clear as day as nobody seemed to be buying them. Nice place all in all!

Bought two burgers (american and highland) with both being delicious. Plus coffee and chips were tasty too. Very good quality for a great price!

Lovely place we were so pleased to find this gem. The service was great and cakes were to die for. The shop has a great variety of Scottish produce and we spent about 30 mins just browsing the great stuff. It is a little on the expensive side so bring plenty of money. I would have given 5 stars if it hadnt been so expensive.

Great place for an afternoon snack and coffee /tea after a nice walk around Benmore Gardens. Gets quite busy so you may have to wait to get served. They also do a Xmas dinner throughout December each year. Full monty with trimmings. Choice of 3 X starters, main courses, and sweet. Bring your own bottle. Book in advance for Xmas dinner. In general the menu offers a wide range. Good quality. Recommended.

Didn't use the cafe as we were there to see the fantastic botanical gardens though it looked very nice. The shop is small selling China ornaments to Nik naks and postcards. Overall its a great place to visit and coach parties tell you it is popular.

Awesome gardens to explore through the year. My fave time of the year to visit is end of May until mid June when the pond looks awesome with the himalayas blue poppies in bloom beside them. Wild life hide pretty much gaurentees red squirrel sightings within a very short time.

Good selection of quality fare, from snacks, teas and coffees to full meals, not the usual offerings. Beautiful setting with picnic style tables outside if desired, weather permitting.

Nice little Cafe at the entrance to Benmore Gardens. Lovely home made cakes and good coffee. No dogs inside but good covered tables outside where they are welcome.

One of the few places in the Dunoon area that caters to a wide range of dietary needs with vegetarian, vegan and gluten free options available. The staff are not quite as knowledgeable as I would have hoped and had to check if some of the menu options were vegan/gluten free and the high price does not necessarily mean great food, but overall a good quality meal.
