We enjoyed a fantastic meal, had some great beer (east coast) pale ale, and great G&T. The fish and chips was the biggest and best ever and the fillet steak was to die for! All cooked to perfection the barman and waitress were excellent and very impressed that the kitchen was in full view. We will definitely be back.
Brilliant pub and a big thanks to all the staff. This pub is child friendly and made us all feel very welcome. The Sunday lunch we had was the best ever and we would recommend this lovely place to everyone!!
Excellent meal at the Lorne we were sting in the Dunoon area for the weekend and The Lorne was recommended to us, the meal was lovely and would certainly recommend, excellent value for money, never having been before it was obvious the place had been refurbished it was lovely, if we are in the area again will certainly return

Had a really nice meal in The Lorne tonight, the burger special is great value and the Caesar Salad and macaroni were also great according to my wife and my dad. Strawberry milkshake was also great and the 2 people that served us were really friendly and helpful. Also, the background music was tremendous :-)
Will definitely be back next time I am in town.
Stayed in a log cabin at hunters quey. 4 of us Popped into the lorne for dinner last night. Delicious is an understatement it was fantastic and great portion sizes. Certainly be back. Well done servers & chefs x
Went in for lunch the first time since it reopened and I must say everything from the decor to the food and also the staff was amazing ! Food was tremendous, compliments to the chefs �! Keep up the good work, will be back very soon �!!
After arriving late and the kitchen was closing, they gave us a table and served us an amazing meal, food is excellent, staff are lovely!
Went for a wee family dinner at the Lorne tonight and it was fantastic. The place was busy with great atmosphere and they work so hard to make you welcome. Great wee night again never disappoints.

Service and food were exceptional.We returned a few nights later to celebrate my wife’s birthday and had a wonderful time. The meals were beyond our expectations, looked after continuously. Thanks for a super time out.

Went to The Lorne tonight with 3 young children, they were excellent and very accommodating. Our meals arrived in great time and were delicious. Brilliant service, brilliant food, all round good atmosphere. We will definitely be back :)
Sat at the bar waiting for friends. Bar staff were very attentive and seated us as soon as our friends arrived. Our waiter appeared immediately and was observant and helpful. Various dishes ordered were fish and chips (huge portions!), leg of lamb with gravy, mash and veg (tender and delicious!) and lovely fresh desserts all at fair pricing. The Lorne is one of our favourite spots.
Great food. Fish & chips, lamb shank, and steak & ale pie. Good atmosphere and dog friendly. Will recommend it.

I had always wanted to try this place, so I took my daughter out for mother and daughter time . The restaurant is very clean and tidy. We were greeted by a lovely lady, but the only down fall she put us next to the main door, so it was very cold. The tables are quite small, and not very spacious. She gave us a run down of the lunchtime specials. My daughter wanted a milkshake, so she ordered the oreo one, I just had a diet Coke, and then we dived into the main. My daughter ordered a burger but she could customise it herself, I ordered the steak salad, and oh my the salad it's self was unbelievably good, to make it better around my pallete I added it with the steak which was perfectly cooked (well done for me) and tonsils didn't know what hit it,. The flavour was superb, especially for a well done steak. It never lost its flavour. If I wanted to be greedy, I would have ordered it again, it was that good, but it did fill me up. My daughter really enjoyed her burger but she did say next time she wanted the steak I had.
I have since then been back, (with someone else) and got their salad, again it was out of this world. I honeslty can't hype this restaurant up enough. The food is really amazing, staff are very polite, friendly atmosphere.
Was seated in the beer garden with our dog, water was provided for our dog which on a hot day was appreciated. The food was excellent but we did wait nearly 50 minutes for it, we were not advised of this wait...luckily we were not in a rush at all. My partner requires a gluten free diet and the staff were very knowledgeable as to what he could have on the menu...would definitely return if we are back in the area but will be mindful of the wait for the food.
The Lorne was lovely! Although a touch pricier than what I'm used to (we were visiting Dunoon), the food is worth it. Absolutely delicious. I had venison steak with mash, mushrooms and peppercorn sauce, I'd asked for the steak to be blue and oh my goodness it was! So impressed as most places try to pass of a rare as blue. The drink was no let down either as the have a huuuuuge selection and even do cocktails. The kids menu had a good selection and including a coloring page with a cup of crayons for the kids to share at the table. Good, friendly service and very accommodating considering we turned up an hour early for our booking!
Had three separate evening meals here as I liked the quality, quantity and presentation of the food. The staff were great. Chatty, friendly and good service. Highly recommended. Suggest booking in advance to avoid disappointment. Will definitely return to this restaurant when next in Dunoon.
Turned up with 2 dogs on a wet weekday evening without booking - they were fully booked so obviously VERY popular.
But they till managed to slot me in for a meal a bit later at a dog-friendly table, & meanwhile made us comfortable at the bar.

Went here for dinner one evening. Absolutely superb. Nice setting and great staff. I had Cullen Skink as my starter. It was very rich and gorgeous. I also had the Steak and Ale pie can recommed it. My wife had battered king prawns with sweet chilli dip. Followed by a very nice rich Mac and Cheese.
Excellent from the minute I walked in. Made to feel welcome. All staff very attentive. Nice and cold strongbow. Had haggis neaps and tatties, beautifully presented beautiful sauce. Have 2 more leisure days in Dunoon so will be back for lunch both days!!! On my next two visits food was excellent recommend mixed grill and cullen skink. Sadly now home
Great place. Awesome prices, food was perfect, our new go to place, and would definitely go back again and again. Staff were friendly and helpful. I'm fussy with food and they were accommodating, so that's always a plus in my book.
