Great family run local business. Best and freshest fish, crab and lobster rolls on this part of the coast. Straight from sea to plate. Lovely fresh fish available to buy too depending on the day's catch.
Wow just wow, stumbled across this by accident as we went to Dungeness from medway so my son Miles could go on in the lighthouse for a school project and I could go to ales by the rails. The highlight of the day was this snack shack. Great food in a awesomely strange place (dungeness) fresh and tasty will be visiting this place again.
Fresh fish catch of the day friendly bunch can’t beat that!
Best place to buy fresh fish
Lovely :-D luckily I'm local so I get my fish roll or flatbread 2/3 times a week.....all fresh and cooked to perfection. Great prices too.
We liked it here, Dungeness is a very unusual place overlooked by a brutal power station yet retains a certain charm. Take a walk down to the sea it’s normally quite breathtaking. Long shingle beach which is clean, but I wouldn’t attempt swimming. Worth a visit you can park for free on the grass verge.
Cute and very popular snack shack + fishmonger by the beach with plenty of outdoor picnic benches.
We went for lunch on Saturday. The place was already packed with a long queue. We stood in line for about 20 min to order our food and was told that the food will take about 30 min. And they were right on the money! We got the food in just about 39 min. It was worth the wait! We had a lobster flat bread, fried fish flat bread, and crispy potato’s, and finished with local ice cream. Everything was super fresh and great value! Would recommend if you are in the rye/camber sand area!
On reflection like a film set, even in the grey air this space was something I won’t forget. You’ll be please with what ever you order because there is the right amount of grease and greens. I’d like to see how they use all the scallops shells in years to come. My parents enjoyed the feast
I've wanted to visit here for ages.
Fantastic little shack selling the freshest seafood. I loved the Fish roll and the lobster roll. The fried potatoes were great too, make sure you try their homemade tartare sauce.
There's no indoor seats so make sure you've got raincoats or sunscreen.
Great value for money considering how fresh the seafood is.
The flatbreads look better than the rolls so will hopefully try one next time.
Great food in a one-of-a-kind location. We shared a fish bun and a scallop bun with chilli jam, plus some of the potatoes. Lovely.
Amazing fresh seafood, pleasant staff. We have been returning here for the last three years.
Pre ordered a seafood platter. We received a beautifully presented plate of super fresh and tasty local seafood. We will be back.

A must visit if you are exploring Romney Marsh. An excellent location for lunch or brunch if you like fish and seafood. It’s kids and dogs friendly and you can only sit outside in summer. The fish rolls and flatbread are excellent. They have a shop next door where we bought freshly caught monkfish for our bbq dinner.
The MOST delicious snack! What a treat to discover. We loved the scallop bun and came back the next day for fish and fries potatoes. Make a trip if you're in rye
Rustic eating experience. Food was so fresh, it has to be tasted to be believed. From ordering to service was quick and efficient. This is an outdoor eating experience. No seating indoors so take a warm extra layer and waterproofs or a high factor sun cream depending on the conditions. Fantastic quality, simple food, on the shingle bank. A very memorable light lunch. Its such a shame we live more than 5 hours drive time from this lovely spot. Do not drive past, looking for a comfy indoor eatery with only average food.
What a little find! Fresh fish and fried potatoes are amazing, and their fish flatbreads and scallop flatbreads are absolutely delicious. Be prepared to queue as it is popular around lunchtime (12-2pm) and you may have to wait for a bench if you are sitting down. Service is good, just a little slow but it is always worth the wait! There is no cover if you are sitting down to eat, so if it is raining you will have to picnic in your car :-)
A great place to have a bite of lunch by the sea. Lovely fresh fish served by lovely people!
This is for the Baker who bakes pizza on a Friday night 5:30-8:00 pm.
Very nice pizza's freshly made and other goods sweet and savory.
We were just driving past and popped in. staff and food excellent. Also bought some fish from the shop. Will definitely return.
Out in the middle of nowhere and totally worth the effort. On really busy days you may have wait a while to get your food. I waited 50 minutes but I regret nothing. Totally worth it!
The place is absolutely brilliant. We have been there 3 times. Each time they exceeded our expectations. The seafood is amazingly fresh and so well prepared. The scenery is just surreal. We are in love with the place.
P.S. This is a shack. So probably not a good place if you want to have a romantic candlelight dinner in a cozy room.
We arrived at the snack shack not far from closing time, so we didn't get much - just some prawns, welks and some fried potatoes for the small people. Food coming out looked really good though! They have some picnic benches out so you can take a seat and eat. If in area again, will try to get to this a bit earlier!
Best scallops ever. Really great food in a brilliant location. My only gripe is there’s no loo or hand washing facilities. There are loos at the mini railway station but it’s a bit of a trudge.
Loved this place! Charming spot by the beach to sit out and enjoy some food or a hot/cold drink. Good spot to bring your dog.
Seafood is really good and interesting variations on the menu. Scallop roll? We just had some whelks, I had forgotten how good they are! Aware of allergies, just chat to them to make them aware. Some gluten free options but vegetarian options provided and able to cater for dairy free easily.
