I LOVE ELLIES!!! This beautiful restaurant never fails to deliver below perfection it's an amazing place with lovely staff and as a vegetarian I am very pleased with the options available. The ladies that served us tonight were very polite and professional and Jarleth (if that's how it's spelt lol) is a lovely manager who goes above and beyond for all customers. Every visit I have had here has been 5* and we will definitely be back to regularly. I would definitely recommend people to visit Ellie's. Thankyou ellie s staff x
Ellie’s are amazing !! The food is amazing and our leavers group enjoyed it so much!! We are so thankful for every member of staff within Ellie’s that stayed longer just to give us the best customer experience ever and keep the restaurant late just for our group !! They truly deserve a bonus for allowing us to enjoy the view, setting up the tables with such high standards, giving us lovely and amazing food and being so quick with responses and making us feel so relaxed !! First visit last night. After reading reviews I was a bit weary but I have to say every thing was first class. Beautiful spacious restaurant, with staff who couldn’t do enough to help, nothing was a problem to them. Food was fantastic, if anything there was too much of it. There was 8 of us and nobody had any problems. We will definitely be back

Had heard mixed reviews about Ellies but have to say it was the best meal we've had dining out in ages and we dine out every week. All the food had so much flavour and taste. Highly recommend the sharing platter. Steak skewers, stuffed mushrooms, salted chilli chicken & garlic bread accompanied with the most yummy salad I've had in a long time! Our 6 year old had the pasta kids meal and he said he wants to eat here every day!! The staff were incredibly helpful and lovely. The lady offered to bring our sons food out with our starters which worked perfectly. Honestly I never bother doing reviews but i think Ellies deserves one. Definitely recommend the whole experience. You won't be disappointed!
Food was delish.....lunch was good price and its definitely worth it for the view. Staff couldnt do enough for you and where very friendly.
Good food, friendly staff, great selection of drinks. To offer one suggestion for improvement, there doesn't seem to be a member of staff on the floor to watch for customers that want service. Some tables are out of line of sight from the bar, so one might have to go to the bar to get service. I don't mind this myself, but elderly and disabled customers may not have that option so easily. A member of staff to keep an eye on customers would, I think, help improve speed and quality of service. Admittedly, I've only gone in during quiet hours during the week, so it's possible they have more through staffing during peak hours when most customers would be going.

I have eaten at Ellies on a number of occasions and found it hit and miss but post covid I figured I would try it again and was pleasantly surprised.
I had a table booked for a low key family meal. We arrived and were quickly seated at the large back windows as I had requested which offer a spectacular view across Dungannon and beyond. The sunny day made this view even more impressive and offered many talking points.
We were seated and a drinks order taken straight away while menus were distributed. The menu is a single, unlaminated printed sheet, a remanent of covid times which I hope will disappear soon as the single page is less than pleasant to order from. The one gripe I continue to have with Ellies is the slow service for the initial ordering of starters and mains. The service the rest of the time seems to be fine but this initial delay to order is a consistent issue.
Starters of brie, soup, salted chilli chicken and garlic mushrooms. I first want to say that the portions for starters are very generous. The brie were large wedges, there was plenty of chicken and mushrooms too. A delight when you consider that usually starter sizes can be rather mean. The brie was golden and gooey. The soup was a subtle, creamy curried cauliflower which was a delightful change of pace from the bog standard soups.
For mains we had steaks, chicken stacks, burgers an baked salmon. All of which was fabulous. Portions were generous and served very well. The steak was cooked to perfection with a lovely sear. The champ was creamy and the baked salmon was a riot of colour.
For dessert we indulged in cheesecakes, lemon meringue pie and brownies. The cheesecake was super rich and sweet. The brownies very sweet but still nice. The lemon meingue let the side down a little because, while it looked like a work of art it was cold. Lemon meringue should be served hot, and not just the meringue blow torched to mildly warm and browned. From base to tip it should be hot. The vanilla ice cream tasted vaguely smokey also and was not something we would go for again.
Other than speeding up the initial ordering and tinkering with the desserts to serve hot where appropriate and change the vanilla ice cream brand, I was very impressed with this trip to Ellies and will certainly be back. For the generous portions and good quality the meal was also quite reasonably priced!
Ellie's always is the place to go with my lovely godmother. They treat her like a queen and will always have her favourite meal for her. The restaurant is clean , the service is excellent and the choice of meals is great ( you can also take home what you can't eat ) I can't fault it. Thank you
Just happened to discover this place by accident but so glad we did. Very spacious and lovely decor. Good menu options, well priced. Meal was cooked to perfection and the amount of food on the plates were massive. You definitely won't leave hungry!! Friendly staff. Highly recommended.
