The Sunday Carvery was just perfect! Beautiful, tender meat, and loads of it! Staff very friendly too. The owner, Nigel himself, did a great job carving the beef! Superb restaurant.
My mum asked me to write this review for her so here we go.
Mum and her friend had a delicious meal in the restaurant on Saturday and were totally delighted with the quality of the food and the service they received. They both particularly wanted to compliment Nigel and his hardworking team for all the attention to detail and giving them a lovely evening to remember.
This really is a lovely restaurant and we have many happy memories from family get togethers here , you will certainly not be disappointed.
I was pleased to be able to have dinner at this restaurant earlier today (29-04-2023). We had booked for 18:00 but when we got there we were told to go upstairs to the waiting area. It wasn't explained to us that this is just to have a drink, order your food and wait until your table is ready - so we thought it was just a waiting room. When our friend arrived, our order of food was taken and we were shortly after taken down to our table. I've never experienced a setup like this at a restaurant. It was grand but it's just that it wasn't explained so we were a bit confused. Anyway. The staff were lovely, very friendly and helpful, seemed to know the menu well. They came and took away empty dishes to give us more space, and did other similar things. The food was really very good indeed, we all enjoyed our main courses and deserts. We were glad that we had booked as it was really busy. I now understand why this place gets such a good name, it is indeed excellent. Highly recommended and I'd hope to be back soon!

Amazing service from the door to the table. We met by a gentleman at the door and he could see I had issues breathing so we were directed straight to the lift for a beverage before being give a menu to look over, which I thought was the best idea as you could take your time perusing the menu. The staff were all wearing masks 😷 which was excellent to see. The barman Shane was extremely knowable about whiskeys, cocktails and wines 🍷.
A lovely gentleman came over and asked if we would like to order or did we need a few minutes. We ordered and then a few moments later we were sat at a table that was socially distanced from other people eating. Well done and forwarded thinking looking after patrons and staff. We were offered another drink and water for the table which we accepted. Our drinks came and then our starters arrived I had the scallops perfectly cooked and the starter as a whole was divine. My husband had the prawns also cooked to perfection and divine. We were never left without a drink or someone checking to see if we needed anything which I found totally different from most places I've been. Our main arrived hot and prompt the portion sizes for this restaurant were spot on. Honestly most places pile on the food that you really only need a starter as they are so big the my mains never get eaten. I had the venison rare just as I had ordered as when the gentleman came to take our orders said they serve it medium rare. My husband had the beef pad thai that sizzled at the table for the longest time. Both meals were exquisite. The only criticism I would have was the bacon and cabbage was not needed with the venison and did nothing to lift the dish at all. I would put green beens, asparagus or even baby carrots.
We both ordered the crème brulée, with a rhubarb compote at the bottom as you can see they both came out looking exactly the same. A lovely finish to a fantastic meal. I couldn't eat it all as it was quite a hefty portion. Please don't charge your portion sizes or your team as everything was just perfect. Thank you all so much for such a lovely evening. Definitely 5 stars 🌟.
Delicious food and excellent service. Sides are very big so maybe order one between 2 people! Roasted veg was to die for! Cooked to perfection.

OH MY GOODNESS, YOU WON'T BELIEVE THE AMAZING TIME I HAD AT VISCOUNTS! I took my wife to the north-west for a change, and we planned everything well in advance. And let me tell you, the restaurant we found was absolutely INCREDIBLE! From the moment we arrived, we felt so comfortable and the atmosphere was just lovely. The owner was so friendly and polite when he took our order, and we started our evening at the bar upstairs with some drinks.
Now, let me tell you about the steak I had. OH MY GOSH, it was MASSIVE and cooked to perfection! I couldn't believe the value for money - I haven't had such a big steak in ages, especially in Northern Ireland. And the sides were just as amazing, though I had to force myself to eat some of them because of how stuffed I was. But that's a good thing, right?
My wife decided to have a few smaller items instead of a big meal, and she was absolutely spoiled for choice with the sides. And when it came to dessert, OH MY WORD, the cheesecake and crème brûlée were out of this world! My mouth is watering just thinking about it again.
And the atmosphere was just brilliant - even though it was very busy, everyone was so friendly and happy to wait for their table. We ended up chatting to some other customers who told us that the Sunday lunch was amazing too! If you're looking for somewhere different with the best steak and menu in Northern Ireland, you HAVE to check out Viscounts!
The architecture of the place is just stunning too - it's like an old medieval church that's been modernized inside. And even though the owner and his sons were constantly busy serving customers, they still made an effort to check in on us and make sure everything was okay.
I can't wait to go back to Viscounts again soon, and I'm already planning on taking my kids there for Christmas! Apparently, the owner goes all out with the decorations, and it's like a winter wonderland in Dungannon. The only downside is that there isn't a hotel in the town, but that's okay because Viscounts is the perfect start to a night out for food.
Honestly, I just wish I had taken photos of the food because it looked and tasted so amazing! Congratulations to the owners of Viscounts - you have an absolutely incredible restaurant, and I can't wait to tell everyone I know about it!

1st time visit ,met with a friendly smile .
We were 1st in the restaurant and the backing music was at a level to enjoy and still have a conversation. A great choice of starters that came prompt. Our waiter's were very knowledgeable about everything on the menu .By the time we were halfway through our mains a couple of large family groups had come in and the place was buzzing..
So overall a wonderful place to come and enjoy the food
Fantastic evening from start to finish. Great staff and service. Excellent meal and would highly recommend. We have visited Viscounts several times over the years, but the whole experience to Viscounts this time was outstanding. We were delighted, very well done to Management and staff for an excellent evening, we will definitely be back again soon. Thank you very much 👏👏👏
