Tried this restaurant for the first time yesterday. We went for the traditional options on the menu ( haggis supper and macaroni and cheese ). These came with a choice of options as well as bread and butter and two pots of tea. The portions were excellent as was the food. The menu contained a wide variety of options. We couldn't fault the service as we were warmly greeted and very well looked after. The toilet was very clean and well maintained. We will certainly be back and I would certainly recommend this restaurant.
This place is the bane of my life. Since it opened up across from my office, it is a constant temptation. There are good chippy's in Dunfermline. This one is the stand out best of the bunch. Food is cooked to order, but you're rarely kept waiting long. Eat in, or take away you're assured a decent meal. Staff are friendly and helpful. Gluten free menu available on Tuesday and Sunday I think. Check for confirmation. Premises kept very clean. And if you ask nicely, they will do you a bag of batter bits, or scraps. Or whatever you call them where you come from. As I write this now I fancy a fish supper, but sadly I am stuck in the East Midlands for a few days and I cannot face the horror of the fish down here. Can't wait to come home and get the real deal.
Delicious gluten free scampi and chips 😋 Freshly cooked to order. Lovely staff. Great care taken to avoid cross contamination. Very impressed. A popular chippy. Well worth waiting for.
Had the most amazing Fish & Chips here. I wasn't sure what to expect like most F & C shops, but wow! Batter was perfect! Mushy peas was spot on! And the service was amazing! Shame I'm only in Dunfermline for 1 day or they would most definitely get my return custom 5 🌟
Best fish and chips I've ever had! They were so helpful with my dairy allergy too. Couldn't recommend more.
First time in tonight. Phoned ahead as not sure when sitting in restaurant closed. The lady I spoke to was very helpful and said she would keep us a seat. Which was very kind. Once in and seated we were introduced to Sophie who would be taking our order. And it was only her 2nd night working. She was a great wee waitress. The fish and chips and mushy peas were lush. And portion size was big. Well worth the money. The restaurant was lovely. Very clean and inviting. Staff friendly and accommodating. Reasonably priced. We will defo be back. Thank you again.
Some of the best fish and chips I’ve ever had, fish was lovely and white and the batter crispy. The staff were the most welcoming people I’ve ever met and make me want to keep going back, the only downside was we couldn’t tip on card :(
The BEST chippy in town by far !!! I would even say its on par with the one in Anstruther !!! Very friendly staff as well. The regular HADDOCK fish supper was beautiful...not a single bone to be found and the batter was light and crispy. Thank you guys 😊 I will definitely be back soon.
One of the best fish suppers I've ever had if you ever get the chance get one amazing crispy batter well cooked chips 😋
Went for carry out did not order ahead. Shop was pretty busy, but my order was taken swiftly. Plenty of seating available for customers and the shop is spotlessly clean. There is a dining in area that looked just as inviting as front of shop. My order arrived in good time, it was well packaged and a good amount of food at a reasonable cost. When we ate, the food was excellent. Good quality fish and properly cooked chips. I have left my assessment of the staff to last because they deserve a special mention. They were all excellent, and the lady who served me never stopped smiling and being cheery. She did not rush the wrapping, saying she wanted to make sure the order was correct. I know it is just a chip shop, but I recommend you visit it.
