A very nice shop very clean and tidy. The choice of food and pastries were vast, the staff were very friendly and helpful your money goes a long way in the shop as the prices are very competitive. Definitely worth a visit I certainly will be back, I have now downloaded the app quality πŸ’₯πŸ¦πŸ‘

What's not to like. Almost doesn't matter that staff are so rude and clearly unhappy in their jobs. Foods great though. Go in, order, don't expect a smile, please or a thank you, get your food/drinks and go.

Stopped for lunch. Enjoyed the famous steak bake and a sausage roll. Also a delicious soup and cup of chocolate. An excellent range of hot and cold snacks. Take away and some sit in tables. Friendly staff wheelchair accessible

Can't beat it for cheap and cheerful lunch, treated a homeless guy to a festive bake and tea too as prices are so affordable.

These premises are one of the larger ones I've saw for Gregg's. It was great there was sufficient seating even at lunch time. Which is usually what would deter me from going into Gregg's for lunch. This one was pleasant. I had bought a sandwich which I wanted to cut, so asked for plastic cutlery. There lady was very kind and said I may break three plastic knife she was happy to cut it for me. I thought how kind, I managed ok with the plastic one. The seating wasn't cramped and Gregg's prices are reasonable without a doubt. The slightly higher charge for eating in, I would usually grudge. As often the seating is so limited, you are sharing a table with a stranger and getting dirty looks from everyone in the queue that wants to eat in. It can be uncomfortable. This Gregg's was nothing compared to that/ those past experiences in other branches. As a first time customer in this Gregg's, I would recommend it and is return. I think being in the centre is to it's advantage as it's less exposed and feels more like a cafe, which is what I think Gregg's were going for. Friendly staff, who you know when you observe someone at their work and out shoes they enjoy it. I got that impression from one lady in particular and the other staff on duty were just as happy and helpful. Thanks ladies, my egg sandwich and cuppa tea was great.

The sandwiches and pasta tubs are very good value. Also the meal deals as in soup and savoury or coffee and savoury are well worth getting.
