So good we went again the next day! The Food was excellent and the staff were so nice. Started off with some very nice fried brie wedges, and a good helping of chicken liver patte with crackers, then went on to have the venison steak with mash and the Mac & cheese with some garlic bread, both delicious. For desert came a chocolate & caramel tart accompanied by a generous drizzle of toffee sauce and a few raspberrys in sauce. Also sticky toffee pudding (warm) with fruit and vanilla ice cream, very tasty. The chilli cheese fries we had with our meal, while nice, were quite spicy and not really for someone warey of a hot side dish.

Very lively on a Saturday night, we had a table of around 15 the food was good most of us had the hot rock steaks which you cook to your own liking at your table, a good idea. The only problem we had was you have to pick sides with each hot rock meal which were wrong when served although they did their best to rectify this.If it wasn't for this it would be a 5 star review.

Excellent food. We got the hot rocks, which were amazing. The venison was yummy as was the ribeye. The staff are great and very attentive. Will definitely be back for hot rocks. Great value for money.

One of my favourite places. The hot rock steak deal is fantastic, other menu is OK but I never go past the hot rocks and tablet cheesecake. Reasonable prices and good selection of drinks. Staff are all very polite and attentive

Fantastic experience when we recently visited for my (older) sister's 40th birthday. The staff couldn't be more helpful and friendly, even when we were still there past closing time. We were a party of 8 spanning 3 generations, with as young as my 5yr old son, and the food was enjoyed by all. Great selection on the menu from pub favourites to hot rock steaks - but my personal favourite was the rhubarb and ginger Edinburgh gin crumble with ice cream!! The atmosphere was higher classed than casual dining but it was very relaxed too. We will definitely be back x

Great food and atmosphere. You have to cook your own steak on a special hot stone. Nice concept... The only Issue is that all the smoke coming out from the steak stays in the room and it catches your entire clothes which makes you stinks heavy.

The steaks on the rocks are amazing, you get to cook your own steak on a superheated piece of volcanic rock. They do a good offer for two people so it's worth coming in pairs if you can. The other options are also good.

The 2 steak meals & drinks deal is great value at £39.00. Steaks, fries, onion rings, bottle of house rosé included. Sauces available. Cook the steak how you like it on a hot stone. I can also recommend the Tablet Cheesecake & Ice Cream dessert! Good table service and interesting bottles beers & ciders. We've been before, and we'll definitely be back.

Friendly, upbeat service and good food. The opportunity to cook your own steak on a "Hot Rock" is unique. They aggressively promote repeat business. For example if you know to install and use their Flashapp to reserve your table you get a discount on your food. Be sure to check their website in the offers section to see other good deals.

Great place to eat , an unusual but interesting way the steak is brought out on a hot plate , allowing you to cook for as long or as little as you like. Well presented food in a comfortable and relaxed atmosphere......well worth a try

We just love this place. Hot rocks are awesome, food is amazing, lovely atmosphere and the staff are brilliant (there when you need them but elsewhere when you don't!) cannot recommend highly enough. ⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐
