The staff were all delightful and very accommodating. Food was great, the rooms spacious. Bathroom was very spacious, great shower. Outdoor garden area was a very relaxing setting to have an evening drink. Mattress too firm for my liking and the coffee machine at breakfast was very slow which meant there was always a queue for coffee but would highly recommend.
The service I received was second to none. I received a warmed cookie on arrival and my room was ready on arrival. The staff were all very friendly and helpful. The breakfast was nice and had a good variety of foods for both meat eaters and vegetarians. I would however avoid the porridge.as it resembled a runny gloop than anything else. The rooms were nice with teas, coffees and s clean kettle. The bathroom was stocked with a nice selection of shampoo, conditioner and body lotion as well as a soap. The only issue was the rooms looked tired. The carpets were worn and in need of a change and the rooms could do with a central light instead of relying on bedside lamps to light the rooms. The room was not huge by any stretch but the lighting did not light up the room properly. The bathroom extraction fan didn't seem to be working very well either as the mirrors were steamed. Overall a decent sized room with good amenities and the bed was very comfortable to sleep in. If you visit Dundee, this hotel is well worth considering.
We were greeted at reception and given our room keys and hot cookies. Nice touch! The rooms were clean modern and spacious. Breakfast was fantastic. The female staff member looked after us and everyone. The food was varied and delicious. Pancake machine was awesome as was the home made smoothie. The gym was well equipped and modern. The swimming pool was a bit small as was the changing rooms. There were a couple of young guys in the pool area who were on their phones (a big no no in a swimming pool as the signs clearly showed) The young female staff member obviously knew them but was quite happy to let them use them. If it wasn't for this, I would have given a 5.
The hotel is an amazing stay even though its called landmark now... The staff are amazing and work really hard to make your stay or event perfect... Paul and cassie do everything they can to help and Amy is just Amyzing... Always a smile, and will do anything to help you..... Just a lovely place to stay..
2 night stay here. Upgraded to suite in old part of hotel. Great space. Most comfortable super king bed. Fridge. Bottles of water supplied free. Hot walnut cookies on arrival. Good choices for breakfast, including porridge. Fresh fruits, natural yogurt, pastries. Leisure pool was small but provided relaxation after tiring day. Steam room and sauna most enjoyable to. Gym was rather small but catered well for light exercise. Our suite was cold because heading had been turned off. Bedroom heated up quickly but lounge didn't.
The staff at this hotel are superb, a special mention for Arlene in the restaurant, but everyone really nice. Pool area a bit dated, small and no Jacuzzi or spa which I missed. The ambience though of the bar area is excellent, cosy and welcoming, yet again the staff were great. Food really good as well with plenty of choice. Only three miles from the new waterfront and no bother for parking. Would definitely return.
Have only stayed for 1 night which was OK. The room was nice although the general decor could do with an update. Staff were helpful and we didn't have to wait to get checked in.
The pool is nice but too small to swim properly and when we used it quite busy with children. Steam room and suna were audio both good. Breakfast was a standard skittish breakfast but everything was cooked nicely and there was a good range.
I have never stayed at a hotel where the staff have gone above and beyond as much as they did here. Hotels can be a soless lonely place; yet the moment we walked through the door everyone was warm and welcoming...as if staying with a family. The smiles and willingness to help were genuine and heart warming.
We were here for a University interview and had a couple of issues that the hotel sorted out. . No hair gel and the taxi didn't turn up!
The staff for breakfast were equal friendly and helpful. Smiles and falling over themselves to help out.
The rooms were clean and comfortable. The beds were perfect. I was a bit cold so they have a an extra quilt and offered is extra heating ( which we didn't need).
It was nice to have a swim and sauna; the gym looked busy.
And if course the warm cookies were always on tap.
I can't recommend the hotel enough for the attitude of the staff. ..I hope they're being paid well! They make the place.
Beautiful old building that has had a modern extension. We were allocated a suite in the older part of the hotel which was up a few flights of stairs (no lift access, which may be an issue if you have mobility issues or heavy luggage ;-)). The room was very spacious and the bed was extremely comfortable. Breakfast was served in a conservatory styled room which over looked the well maintained garden.
Another visit and another fantastic visit from the moment we arrived. Reception, room, meal and breakfast Our evening meal was delicious not one bit left on any of our plates. Slept soundly and the bit my husband looks forward to his breakfast. We love this hotel the staff from the top down are friendly, helpful and make your stay relaxing and enjoyable.
We stay here sometimes when visiting family if we can get a good deal. The location suits us and we enjoy using the pool and my partner the gym. Breakfast was included in our room price and very tasty. Staff in The Maze were very helpful when we dined with our two small children. The room was a decent size. Will definitely be returning.
Beautiful glass reception area. Big comfy rooms with everything you need . Attentive friendly staff. Given a warm big cookie on signing in. Nice gym and pool, steam room and sauna but no jacuzzi, go in morning to avoid noisy kids.
Love this place. Service is excellent and personal. Rooms are very modern, comfortable and well kept. The location is just at the edge of Dundee so great if you drive. Parking available. Gym and pool on site included.
Quiet hotel, a little dated. We were in a room right by the very small swimming pool. The room was excessively warm and the windows only opened a little. The pictures of the swimming pool make it appear quite big but it is actually very small. We also didn't get our cookie on arrival. There is plenty of parking though.
