Another early morning train journey; another plate of breakfast in a wee Dundee cafe. On previous visits to these parts I’d breakfasted at the likes of the Folk Cafe and Fisher & Donaldson. I was in a similar neck of the woods, but today stopped at Soo Delicious on Union Street. Although the place initially looked like a fairly standard greasy spoon, upon further inspection it had some nice detailing giving it a homely feel. This was matched by the warmth of welcome from the wonderfully friendly counter woman, who was a joy throughout.

We popped in to Soo Delicous Cafe in Union Street, Dundee recently and it was excellent -- definitely 5 Star.  The friendliness, cleanliness, personal service and variety on the menu were just marvellous - and the prices are excellent too.  We had breakfast (bacon & egg roll and tea and scrambled eggs with brown toast and a latte) and it was genuinely very tasty.  We checked the menu out for lunch and will definitely be returning often when we are in Dundee.  We give the Cafe a Very Highly Recommended and you must visit this lovely little Cafe for something very tasty for Breakfast or Lunch or a Coffe and a Snack. It was just BRILLIANT.

This place is a wee hidden gem that myself and my partner stumbled upon whilst meeting up during his break from work 😊 what you get for your monies is pretty epic in portion size, I had the so delicious spicy burger which was huge and tasty 😋 my partner had a so delicious special breakfast (all day breakfast btw!) And the staff were lovely and even gave us a complimentary treat at the end, would go back to try more things 😊

Decent wee ( very wee) cafe. Run by some lovely Turkish lads. Went midday after visiting Discovery with three very hungry children. Food arrived quickly and the staff were very friendly. Food was cafe quality, unpretentious, and designed to stop you being hungry, not impress Gordon bloody Ramsay. ( Some of the reviewers here need to get a grip with their expectations) but cooked to order and prices were reasonable for a city. Oh, and their milkshakes were EXCELLENT. Gave the kids free lollipops when we left, which was a nice touch. I hadn't read the reviews, and as others have pointed out, it's CASH ONLY!

Only had coffee and cake but both were very nice and staff gave my daughter a bottle of fruit shoot free and a lollipop so was great customer service. Would have given 5 apart from fact that it's not advertised that it's cash only.

This must be a far the best cafe on Dundee. Fresh, clean and a welcoming owner. We had two breakfast options with tea and toast. The owner was really friendly, food arrived promptly and was very tasty...proper cafe style ! We were staying in the Malmasion across the road and decided not to pay £30 extra for their breakfast and it was a great decision. Lunch menu looked great and I noticed the establishment is open until 7pm. An excellent business and well worth a visit.

First time coming here to eat. The boyf got a steak and onion roll with a can of coke and I got a flat white with homemade soup (lentil) and a slice of bread. The bread was super soft and the soup was tasty. The boyfs steak and onion roll was really good. Everything was cooked to order. Customer service was really good too. Both people working there today came over to our table asking us how food/service was. All in all I'd give this wee cafe 10/10. Bill came to about £13 and I gave £2 tip. Will definitely come here again

Lovely breakfast here with good, attentive service. Everything freshly prepared so was piping hot. Service came with a friendly smile. Setting is functional rather than creating an ambience, and tables might be tight if there's more than two of you, but it worked for us. Would definitely visit again if in Dundee. Note: no card payment - cash only.
