Clean and tidy. No home made food here....just run of the mill pub chain food....but it is served hot and well cooked and the staff are always helpful and quick to serve. Does get busy around luchtime and at peak times you can have a bit of a wait for food arriving, but it's one of the cleanest pubs in the city centre and the staff work hard to keep it that way.
Great pub and also has very nice food if you’re hungry. I got the steak pie today half expecting it to be one of the shortcrust pastry ones (that’s what Greene King places have given me in the past). Was pleasantly surprised when a lovely big puff pastry pie came out. Despite having loads of gravy already, it also came with an extra dipping pot of gravy.
The food was absolutely fantastic and very filling.
Delicious, value for money, great selection of beers and ales. Great pub.
Customer service was excellent. The young lady who served us, IS an absolute star! Well done to the team at the Old Bank Bar!
Nipped in for some food as was passing by, quite empty for the time of day (12:30pm) so there were plenty of tables available. Ordered drinks and food through the Greene King App & service was very quick. Drinks came within 5 minutes of ordering & food was probably 15. Good portion sizes for the price & everything was cooked properly (Not burnt or undercooked). We had the Katsu Chicken Burger and the Fish & Chips, would recommend both!
The waitress was polite but efficient (Sorry, didn't catch a name!) and had amazing timing when asking if everything was ok etc.
Not a local, but would return if in the area again!
Only disappointed is that the menu is smaller than my local (Nottinghamshire) and there wasn't as much choice but nevertheless there's still a good selection 😊
I don't normally write reviews, but in this case I've had to make an exception.
Starting with ambiance/environment, plenty of seating available. Seated upstairs, it was quiet and comfy. Each area has its own TV screen so you can enjoy whatever you fancy.
Drinks were super cheap; as low as 3.30£ for some ales.
Food was cheap too. We thoroughly enjoyed the mix and share - 5 dishes for 23.5£. Food was incredible. Hot, well-cooked and the flavours were on point. Prawns were bland but that's to be expected.
Shout-out to the waitress serving us. Didn't get her name but she was a young, brunette Scottish girl (I've had to change it from blond to brunette after I conferred with my mates, I was too lost in her pretty eyes to notice, apologies!!). She was absolutely fantastic. Asked us several times whether we were okay, enjoying the food, and cleared the empty plates promptly. She was very kind, polite and had a lovely smile. Seriously she deserves a bonus or something.

Arrived on a Saturday afternoon when football was in full flow so bar was very busy, which we were aware of, as it is a popular pub.
Ordered food and drinks on the app which was straight forward.
The food was delicious and plenty of it.
Our only issue was length of time to wait for our drinks as they arrived with our meals, we would have preferred them to arrive earlier, but considering how busy it was that has to be taken I to consideration.

Visited here for drinks and to reunite with an old friend. Overall quite happy with the time spent here, visited on a Tuesday afternoon and plenty of seating was available.
Great bar, with an old world feel about it. Food was great. desert was yummy

A Belhaven chain pub so we stuck with gins. Food looked good but we had already ate lunch. No complaints.
The staff is so nice and the menu is also pretty delicious. I’m always greeted with smiles and kindness every time I show up. The only thing I struggle with is the prices 😭 why is a small portion of sweet potato fries like +£3. But that’s probably the inner student in me speaking. Everyone is always so welcoming! Totally recommend people give this place a chance!!
The fish is MASSIVE! too much to be honest, I'd have preferred a small plate option. The lady who brought our food and cleared the table was very efficient, but it would have been nice if she'd wiped the table down as it was a mess from the previous customers. The music was awful so we didn't hang around after our food
Me and my Wife had a very nice meal here last Monday Evening Stake&Ale Pie Ect Very well Presented and Tasted Wonderful. Place was very quiet but it was a Monday. All staff were excellent.
Very well done to all and thankyou again.
Was in today 24/7/23 with friends for lunch. The food was exceptional. Service was a bit slow but was well worth the wait.
We'll definitely be back!

Decent city centre bar, plenty seating for groups, warm and friendly, drinks fairly cheap, plenty TV's to watch sports on and decor is lovely.
Went here with a friend after a day out. Service was great, staff very friendly. Food was delicious and at reasonable prices. Also, was served quickly! Would definitely recommend here for a bite to eat.
