Lovely food and staff, very quick to serve and staff are fast at taking prders without hassling you
Really impressed with this place. Good service and better than average food.
Chicken Skewers, Katsu Curry and Appke Crumble were all tasty. Partner had Mac and Cheese plus Pancakes for pudding.
Went in for lunch today, got served for drinks straight away at the bar by a very friendly lady. Ordered food bang bang cauliflower for myself and crispy squid for my wife both came out really quickly and were perfect. I had a beef burger and my wife had chicken and bacon ciabatta for mains both were excellent the chips were very good also. Great service and relaxed atmosphere.
Arrived as the kitchen was closing after a 10++ hours car journey.
The nice waiter, Aidan, asked the kitchen if they would make an exception.

The pub was kept very clean, the team on the floor super nice
The music was not killing the conversations as it was just in the background.
Honestly I am so grateful after such a hard day this hospitality makes the journey worth!
Soo… me and my family drove up from London to visit family got here quite late literally Helen found us a table for 6 with minutes left to close and we got food it was yummy just what you need after a 8 hour drive. Helen did this with a smile and I am so grateful she was a great hostess
Went on a whim for lunch. Nice friendly staff, no fuss getting a seat, although it was busy. Delivery after order was done quickly enough. Food was good and yes I would go back
Had a family meal to celebrate our Diamond Anniversary 💎 and couldn't fault one thing. Great time had by all

Boyfriend and I arrived about 6:30pm. We didn't have a reservation but we were seated quickly enough.
I had my heart set on the Seafood Mixed Grill. So when our waitress mentioned the foods they didn't have. I was pleased as the Seafood Mixed Grill wasn't mentioned.
We ordered drinks. 1 x Coke Zero 1 x Lemonade and Lime.
Drinks arrived. I didn't get lime in my lemonade but who cares.
Time to order our meals.
I asked for the Seafood Mixed Grill only to be told that was off the menu. Gutted!!
My boyfriend ordered The Katsu Chicken and I ordered Salmon.
Waiting time on our meals wasn't long considering how busy both the restaurant and bar were. Say 10-15mins wait.
Our meals arrived. I was starving. I looked at my boyfriends ate. Oh my god!! Looks amazing and a big portion. My Salmon arrived. I was disappointed. Handful of chips and the roasted veg mentioned on the menu as an accompanyments, was 4 bits of pepper!! I'm starving!! Thank god the Boyf got onion rings!!
Katsu Chicken came with rice and chips.
Salmon came with chips, tomatoes on the vine (3 tiny tomatoes) and 4 bits of roasted pepper. Oh and a small side salad (dressing was nice). Hardly anything on the plate for a person who was starving.
I only eat fish. So limited.
Boyf only has good things to say about Katsu Chicken. I had a taste of the sauce. Very nice. Reminded me of the curry sauce you would get out the butchers in the yellow packet.
Salmon was beautiful. I cannot fault the meal apart from portion size. Another wee scoop of chips and a wee bit more roasted veg would've given this review a better score.

Desserts were nice. Not going to score the desserts cause if you can't get a cheesecake and ice cream right. Then you shouldn't be in business.
All in all it was OK.
Will go back but only because I want to try the Seafood Mixed Grill.

Nice meal to celebrate a birthday. Food was nice. Pleasantly surprised to find non-alcoholic gin for me, the driver! Top marks for that alone!
Visited on Fri with family and dog and found the bell tree spotless, staff very friendly and food excellent and reasonable. Very dog friendly and little extras second to none i. E like spare glasses in case you forgot yours. Definately be back and highly recommend it.
Food is good, a little pricey but quite ok. Drinks fine. Service friendly.

We had a lovely meal in your pub on Thursday evening 4th August we are from Liverpool and travelled a long way to Carnoustie for a family final goodbye our service was spot on food was amazing nice and hot too just want to thank you all in your pub for your hospitality from Carol Paul Barry and shelagh God bless you all
Chips and haddock was very good, previously had steak which was not the best, but couldn't complain this time round.
Been quite a number of times. Never had a bad meal yet. Always liked the staff, so far.
