Lovely restaurant and tasty food. Got the five course taster menu for my birthday and loved every minute of it

I went here for a birthday dinner, and the courses themselves were reasonably sized, and extremely tasty. Being a kind of fine-dining restaurant there is always a kind of twist on what you're served, and it's amazing what they come up with.
Their bread was freshly baked and still warm when served, and in between courses they brought small extras out for us to enjoy.
The venue is larger inside than it initially seems, and has a very close, personal atmosphere.

Menu - we had the 8 course tasting menu - everything was fabulous!! Each time a plate came out we were “wow” then the next would follow and again we were “wow”! The staff were really lovely too! It was my birthday and had also received a surprise proposal just before we arrived and the staff made us feel very special! Prosecco and congratulations written on the plate was a lovely touch which was very much appreciated!
This was my birthday treat. The staff are attentive, knowledgable and friendly. The food, every single course, was amazing. The menu is not extensive but I am sure there are dishes to suit all palates. Cost was mid-range and worth every penny. Would return in a heartbeat. We met a lady who had travelled on at least 7 occasions from Aberdeen just to eat at Castlehill. Can't recommend highly enough. You gotta eat here!
My girlfriend an I has dinner in Castlehill for her birthday and it was sublime. Each and every dish was served perfectly on time and was more than delicious. All the staff that served us that night was welcoming, kind and very attentive, explaining each dish and making nice suggestions and conversation. We had the best night! Surely we will come back again soon!
My husband and I visited Dundee for the day and we wanted to enjoy a meal 🍴 at this Restaurant as we heard about it from a Netflix program.
I enjoyed 😋 a two course Vegan 🌱 dishes while my husband ordered off the main menu and also had two delicious 😋 meals!
Service, decor and atmosphere was lovely.
They also had a Vegan 🌱 Sparkling Apple 🍏 wine 🍷 which we both liked 😀
Food cooked with love, and a sense of fun. And attention to detail - everything single thing was excellent - including the bread, the wine, the wee chocs at the end... A very special place and one that I hope the city will treasure - as for "too pricey", compared to restaurants of this quality in other cities, I'd say pretty astonishing value for money.
Enjoyed this restaurant very much, good priced for Michelin recognition, couldn't serve my usual after diner cocktail (rustynail), tried mixers version? But I didn't like but partner did! Wasn't charged for said drink, cheers
This is one of my top places to eat in Scotland. Fantastic menu, reasonable price , great wine and superb service. Castelhill facilitated for my vegan friend which was very welcomed and they made her birthday special. Definitely worth a visit.

Amazing experience in Scotland
The food is sophisticated and Inventive. All the ingredients are cooked with the respect of the product. The service is attentive and friendly. It is worthy of a starred restaurant.
Found on a random walk around Dundee in search of food. Nice intimate setting with a distinct decor. Words escape me when it comes to the menu. Intricate canapés with robust flavours and inspiring textures. The the delicate contrasts of the starter and main were delivered with precision. A good selection wines, my ONLY criticism (and it's a minor one) was that I couldn't get an Old Fashioned! I deeply regret not dinning here on my previous evenings in Dundee. Needless to say I will be working there in August and will peruse the rest of the menu.
Dundee's only real fine dining restaurant. Under head chef Graham Campbell, who has a great passion for seasonal, local and sustainable ingredients and, first and foremost, foraging, the menus have become increasingly inventive and his cooking gets better and better.
