Cracking wee pub. Been a while since I visited Dumfries and found the beer and food great and the staff welcoming. Even better that St Mirren beat Queens so made the day all that bit better!
have drunk in the hole for years ,had my retirement party there,met my fiancée Gloria and had engagement party in there great atmosphere Alan and staff are spot on
Visited "the hole in the wa" for the first time at the weekend,great pub ,friendly staff and lots going on.We were made very welcome,,,,will be back.
The hole in the wa is a friendly pub.staff are very accomadating.whether a local or not.
Me and my husband got married in the mid steeple,and had our wedding reception in the hole in the WA in 1990 and what amazing time we had,amazing people and such warmth and a stranger even gave me flowers.ide recommend everyone to visit the pub,bar
Brilliant wee pub,great food and the entertainment is the best.
Always head for hole in wall on arrival in Dumfries don't know what makes this bar special but it will be always special to me
I live in Surrey but when I visit Dumfries (which is quite often) and go out on town, always end up having a few in here... great pub, reasonably priced drinks too!

Great little pub! Always very busy and has a great atmosphere!
What a gaff. Rocking n popping the second you go in. Karaoke blasting, MCs trying to spit 64 bars, fights going off, chairs getting thrown. Cheap bevs, sick all over the toilet. Would go back any day of the week

Always a busy pub, food is good through the day. Night-time is always busy, especially Thurs Friday and Saturday night. Good pint too.
Great pub, karaoke singers were outstanding, especially dark haired slim girl 👍

Popped in for a bite to eat the food was very well priced and the all day breakfast hit the spot the staff member was very friendly and made our visit relaxed would highly recommended 👍🏴

I visited this Pub about 40 years ago so it was good to visit for the first time since COVID restriction were lifted. I found the pub to be busy but was served with a smile and very quickly I will be visiting again very soon
What a surprise find, smashing food at a great price
The Landlord is wonderful his beer is terrific, the quiz nights sublime, the deep fried lettuce legendary, the karaoke - well Dean is good.
Good pub! Had a good laugh the other night! They do karaoke every night so can be a good place to go have some fun with your mates! If you smoke, they've got a smoking area with outside heaters. I'm pretty sure they said they don't sell any craft beers.
Always the best. Great music, dancing, Kareoke, singing. Company is brilliant. Always have a laugh. Food is amazing. All staff are great. Cheers 😊
