Fabulous food. Great price. Lovely staff. Dog friendly too
Lovely food, friendly staff, nice atmosphere.
First impressions of this place very nice, seated at table asked for christmass turkey, don't do after exmass, then asked for a roast beef to be told sorry we don't do,, all heart to wee girl that served us with cokes, was very disappointed with this, or we wouldn't ordered cokes, so got upto leave
The food was very good and well presented, it was lunch time and the service was a little slow but attentive and it felt like a nice place to be, could have been a bit warmer, however I have no hesitation in recommending it as one of the best places to eat in Dumfries
A lovely breakfast with great service and a friendly welcome. Some lovely cakes as well as my Mrs will tell you
Been here a few times, food is always great and staff are always friendly and helpful.
Nice coffee, amazing (and super huge) scones. Large enough for an entire lunch. The other food we saw coming out the kitchen looked good too... need to go back to sample some more of the menu as it looked a cut above the average cafe menu.
Food was good staff were polite. Took ages though to get a plate of chips and cheese. Tasted amazing when they eventually came out though.
This morning is our second visit for breakfast. Enjoyed it so much from the first that we had to come back. The decor is warm and rustic with the sounds of golden oldie radio playing in the background. The staff are friendly and the food is great.
Me and my wife came to dumfries 14th November 22 for a week for my wife's birthday, we stopped here for dinner, service was good, staff were really friendly and the food was delicious. Will definitely visit here again when we come back up to scotland
Breakfast was excellent had short wait but as food cooked fresh to order staff are fantastic very friendly highly recommend here
Best salt and pepper steak sandwich I've ever eaten in my life. Might be the best sandwich I've ever eaten in my life actually. Decor is lovely, definitely my cup of tea. Extremely clean. Staff are faultless. Actually the entire place is perfect. I couldn't find anything to complain about. Boyfriend
Lovely place. Staff very friendly. The cakes are awesome and the wee bits of tablet with your cup of tea is exactly how I remember it as a child :) Highly recommend.
Took my son (24) for a treat and suffice it to say that it’s going to be permanent feature of his visits. Highly recommended for their tea which was so full of flavor , scones were beyond description. The cakes were awesome. All in all can go there weekly for afternoon tea but then won’t fit in the
Beautiful afternoon tea, highly recommend. Superb value, lots of delicious food, and enormous scones! The girls and I enjoyed it immensely. We will return when in Dumfries 🥰
My partner and I have now succumbed to Mrs Howat's Vintage Pantry, more than once.... A fantastic place filled with all sorts of old memorabilia, beautiful stenciled tables to sit at and food to die for! A really extensive menu, from a full breakfast to gorgeous cakes and the range of cheesecakes ar
