We visited twice during our recent stay in Exmoor and cannot recommend this pub/restraunt enough. The staff are friendly and welcoming and the food is exceptional. Best burger I have ever had. The fish pie is exceptional as well. There are also a good range of real ales on cask. Cannot wait to return to the area next year and visit the pub again.

Location, staff and food were second to none. 100% dog friendly (inside & out). Highly recommend the Freeranger Pie and the house burger and you have simply got to finish up with dessert! I went with the cheesecake whilst my husband had the chocolate & salted caramel pudding, both were excellent and we will definitely be visiting again before we travel home from our honeymoon!

Not just a typical village pub. The setting was idyllic and the pub itself was warming in every way. The entrance led you straight into the main bar and revealed the cosiness that this pub just oozes. The staff were all smiling and quick to serve, and very polite. The service was great too and the wait for food was minimal considering they were quite busy. What did impress me was the menu. A separate vegan menu had been presented alongside the main menu. Very nice choices, varied and effort had clearly been made. It was nice to sit in a surrounding that made you feel like you were in someone farmhouse kitchen almost. Comfy seating, secluded table areas and some lovely decor. There was even a little library of pub and drink themed content (obviously). For me, it was the kind of place where everyone knows your name and locals all know each other, and strangers are made to feel local. Recommend a visit if your close by.

I don't want to sound pretentious, but I know my food and it was very clear to me that this team at the Bridge Inn also know theirs. The cooking was near perfect. We went along on reopening weekend and it was very busy, and even still, the meal for our party of 7 was fantastic. I had the burger and, in all honesty, it was THE best burger I've ever had. From now on all burgers are going to be measured against this excellent flavour celebration! Well done guys! Congratulations. I'll be traveling 4hrs to come back just for this food regularly.

I have eaten here twice now , and the food quality and service is very good i see people are saying that the prices are high but you really do get what you pay for here top quality food if you want cheap food cooked by untrained chefs you need to go to weatherspoons , it is so good to have somewhere to have a in-house cooked meal and not frozen, also with the price of food going up daily i think the prices are on point welldone James and team and best of luck

Open again so popped in for a pint. A small amount of rearranging of the seats/table, but it is the same great pub it always was. Will be back to try out the food.

Apart from the absolutely fabulous location, food and atmosphere the service was second to none. We had a fab stay in Dulverton and enjoyed this local pub for a few beers and some food. When we had a mishap, the team went above and beyond and even returned our lost bag and all its contents by recorded delivery absolutely free of charge. Couldn't recommend it highly enough. Thank you Mr King and staff.

Disappointed this time, booked table well in advance for 7 30pm, after ordering some dishes we were told only 1 portion of Fish was left, it came battered but cut in half with the other part missing? The squid dish was so over fried the batter was dark brown and the squid legs like sharp twigs, oh dear they served this to a guest who is a top chef... friendly staff and nice atmosphere, unfortunately food was not on top of it's game this visit.

We dropped in without reservation towards the end of service for the Sunday roast and what a treat. They fitted the two of us in on a table with a comfortable padded bench. It may have been a wait for our orders to be taken but the two different roasts we had were really tasty. I had pork belly and girlfriend had nutroast. They sell the roasts and looking at the menu all mains in two sizes where you pay more for the larger and difference does go towards a pudding. We both had small roasts which was very sufficient, just a bit more gravy (common dilemma wherever you go). Aside, our dog is probably the least food oriented pooch going, gave it a little bit of belly pork and she was up sniffing and wondering if there was more, her timidity with other dogs around gone. As you gather this is a dog friendly pub, very dog friendly. After that, had dessert each, affogato and banoffee pie, both delicious. The espresso coffee was really good in any case. It is a St Austell pub so Tribute was on tap, plus local Somerset Exmoor Ales. Couldn't recommend this pub more. The downside was the service, just not enough staff, but what a job they did and we were never kept waiting too long. It is also a good looking pub inside and a great location by the river. Looks to have plenty of outside seating for when the weather is better. Parking out front.

This is a real country pub you will love. Real fires, real ale, a good range of good on their menu to choose from, at sensible prices. There's a warm atmosphere to welcome you and lovely staff. A real treat on a cold winters day to relax. Excellent!

We were intrigued to try the new menu since The Bridge has reopened, and we were not disappointed - over the course of the last 2 rather indulgent celebratory days we have tried: Wiltshire Ham Hock Croquettes 12 Spice Deep Fried Tofu Bites Fish Pie Aubergine Rollatini Banoffie Pie Affogato Large Burger W/Bacon, Fries, Homeslaw Onion Rings All dishes were delicious and homemade, using good quality ingredients. The service was great. There are two options for the burger, small and large, not single or double patty. With the cost of living going up in all areas of life pubs are no different and dining/going out is becoming more of a lavish treat but we are so lucky that James and his team have the faith in Dulverton to take it on and keep it open and running. The Bridge Inn is the first establishment you see driving into the town and as a couple of caravaners we spoke to said its the first port of call after the long drive to get here and its great seeing it open and buzzing again. Next on our list, the ham egg and chips, hoisin belly pork bites, and the fish finger sandwich....the brownie, and the cheeseboard 😋😊
