Excellent food and service - food took a while but we were told that there would be quite a wait after we ordered - as there was a wedding on upstairs and the kitchen was catering for the wedding group too.
Really love that most meals come with veg or salad sides! I love my veggies so on top of the peas that came with my scampi, I also ordered a side of seasonal veg. Fab that that's an option! Makes a pub meal feel healthier too 😉 (though as far as pub meals go this was pretty healthy anyway! Everything fresh and food isn't greasy at all!)
Chips were to die for! Big chunky fluffy chips. And could taste they were cooked fresh and in fresh oil. We all loved them.
Lovely outdoor seating at the back. We went in after it started raining and indoors is lovely too! Would definitely be back to try more items on the menu... ❤️
Was here with family for a wake. Lovely pub! Staff are friendly and so nice. The layout is great and pram friendly. Checked the menu and prices are fair. If we lived closer, we would definitely come again to try the food out
Went for Tapas night, the food is spectacular! Very well presented and tastes amazing.
Just called in the Astley Arms before going to a funeral I can't really comment on the food or atmosphere but on entering we were welcomed by the only Bar person on duty that afternoon they were very hospital since it was our first time the premises were very clean and spacious we would definitely visit again hopefully not for a funeral
All members of staff are extremely welcoming they make you feel like a regular food was great and great price only down fall is the price of the drinks as its a Robinsons pub so no fault to the manager the score is hi just because of the food and staff
Had our sons first birthday here and would definitely recommend this place to anyone who's looking to hire somewhere for a birthday or special occasion. Buffet options were good, staff were friendly and helpful and lots of space inside and outside too

A lovely warm welcome from fabulously friendly and attentive staff (even though it was rather chilly outdoors!). Fantastic service, amazing food. My first visit but definitely won't be my last. A very nice little midweek lunch treat indeed 😁
Very nicely refurbished. Nice open plan and a good choice of drinks to suit all. Haven't checked the menu hence 4 stars but will call back in to sample when more time.

Food good staff very nice and friendly the pub itself had been refurbished previously but as our party was upstairs made it difficult for myself and others to get to the toilets which are downstairs that was the only downfall nice and clean all areas

Good basic locals pub. Food is good. Looked like they were clearing away from a funeral wake the day we went in. Overall a good locals pub with decent food.
First time here and really enjoyed it. Lovely atmosphere but the alcohol is a little pricey but it's pretty standard for pubs. Haven't had a chance to try the food yet but heard good things from friends and family.
Excellent freshly cooked Sunday Dinner the beef was soooo delicious - told by the very friendly landlord that all the meats & veg are from local suppliers which we all felt was great. Local businesses supporting each other after 2 very tough years for pubs & restaurants. The staff and building are a credit to the whole team, we will be back.
I would recommend booking a table early in the day as it gets very busy
