Our first visit this weekend, and what a pleasant surprise it was. Liked everything about the place, from the initial welcome and the great choice of ales to the atmosphere, layout and decor. No bar as such (they take up valuable space) so a prompt table service operates, a nice, unusual touch for a micro pub ! All in all a very welcome addition to our list of watering holes.

Called off yesterday afternoon on my way back from Belper. I needed to use the gents which is, nowadays, my primary motive for visiting drinking establishments. OK, the beverage helps. A very friendly gent didn't laugh, sneer or make sarci comments when I said I was a lager drinker and poured me a really tasty brew. Spoke to Moth Mick who was the other guy there. Lovely, inviting, clean establishment. I'll be back as a certain person states in one of his films in which he says very few words.

Love this mini pub, proper pub, no gimmicks of phones on the go, just great beer, nice people, and a lovely village. If you're heading out of Derby on the A6, through Duffield do't pass by without calling in, you will regret it ! Best pint I have had for a long time.

Fantastic little microbrewery in the little quaint village of Duffield, Some great local brews and ales. Cast n'tap options. The scotch egg - black pudding edition was also super tasty. Great service from the man called Paul. Will definitely be back!

A brilliant micro pub that is a great addition to Duffield. The pub is so small there's no room for a bar so is table service, brilliant! The knowledgeable staff are friendly and its clear they have a passion for the products they sell. Good choice of wine also, as with the ales on offer they are regularly changed to sustain high quality. Also dog friendly. Well worth visiting. M

Last Friday was the night before my friends wedding; some good friends had come over from the Netherlands for the wedding and wanted to experience some real British pubs. After a few different places we ended our night in the Town Street Tap - honestly couldn't have made a luckier or better find. The young man behind the bar (who was christened Beer Jesus in honor of his knowledge) was fantastic, incredibly enthusiastic and knowledgeable - and couldn't have given them a better intro to proper beer and a better impromptu stag night! Thank you for your knowledge, patience and making it an exceptional and memorable night! Highly recommended and will definitely be back :-)

Great pint, interesting snacks (pork pie, scotch pie, pork scratchings), friendly and a CAMRA discount. Also… gender neutral toilets 👍
