Another great lunch with an easily drinkable bottle of red. Our usual selection of starter plates creates our own UK style of tapas. Superb food, freshly cooked each time. Great value for money, just look at the bill.Thankfully we have found a local pub close to home. We now visit on a weekly basis for lunch and will continue to do so. The garlic bread with cheese is sumptuous and melts in yer gob. Yours stuffed in Gornal.
Great home cooked food. The Steak & Ale pie is mouth watering, chunky pieces of steak and you can really taste the ale. With a proper pastry, not just a puff one resting on top. Excellent selection of real ales, which are changed regularly. And the waitress that served us (blondish hair) was excellent and attentive. Definitely worth a visit and book a taxi

Wow!!!! We haven’t been back here post covid and I’m gutted we haven’t been sooner!
It’s a different chef to the flavoured mash and sausages guy, but not to the fountains detriment!
This was flipping gorgeous! Every meal was bang on!! And every meal was huge, so if you want desserts, or starters, check you have room. You won’t want to leave any of your main!
This place gets busy, so 💯 book a table, I think you’ll be lucky to get a walk in spot!
The service was spot on, drinks replenished as we went along, always a staff member available! And the staff eat here too…. Such a good indication of food standards!
I never hear a bad review about the food here, so so pleased you’re back on our radar!

There were 22 of us and we pre ordered . In spite of the fact that the restaurant was busy our food came out piping hot and all at the same time. Food as always was spot on, compliments to the chef and the two waitresses worked their butts off.

Haven't been to this pub in a while. Only went for a drink . Still got a good atmosphere, friendly staff , the restaurant had finished serving for the day (Sunday) so pork pie and crisps. Good selection of beer. The only down side is limited parking .
Food is delicious also there Sunday lunch.Great old pub Staff are lovely and helpful and it’s 100% clean Would definitely recommend giving this place a try.

Had a Sunday dinner with family and friends from their recommendation and was whole heartedly impressed, everything came together and could not be faulted.

Nice Pud local to us we had a Sunday roast 3 meats, my Misses had the Wellington Vegi 2weels ago we enjoyed good food so we went bk for second visit food was excellent 👌 again and the service is good not wait very long at all will recomened we will return keep it up Guys complaints to the kitchen 👍
