Good old fashioned chip shop!
It's always had a good reputation but as we need to pass three chip shops and two curry houses to get to Smith's we had never bought chips from them! However, we find our local chip shops are not the best so, we drove over and tried Smith's out.

This is the best chippy I've been to for a long, long time. Every single time they've been great, and as I visit the area frequently, I always make sure I have a nice chippy tea from this place, those gnarly fat chips are absolutely fantastic 👌
The best fish and chip shop in the area, the cod is amazing and always so white inside. Highly recommend
Smiths chips are the best in the country, hands down. They’re uniquely creamy and crispy with a lovely lightly battered coating. Best dipped in a large gravy, which in itself is also up there with the greats; peppery and thick and perfect for dipping. Having moved away from Wombourne some years ago
If you want traditional fish and chips .proper chips here 5 stars as there the best around . You will not be dissapointed travel 12 miles to get my chips from here
1st class food and always enjoy the food , the chip portion could be a little more generous for my liking but I geuss its acceptable, after all they have to make a living and with the price of living the way it is I won't hold it against them .
Just passing through on the canal. Let down by the nearest pubs. Had large fish and chips and they were honestly the best fish and chips I’ve ever tasted. Freshly cooked crispy chips, beautiful cod. Friendly efficient staff. Well done Smiths!

Best fish and chips by far. Gutted they were closed due to unforseen circumstances and had to go elsewhere on Friday but just goes to show no where else comes even close
One of the best chippys I'm found in the wombourne area, fish was fresh and tasty , chips were good .. not too greasy but could do with being abit more crispy , still head and shoulders above others locally
my first time here and talk about out in the wilds but no matter the Fish and ships were great and also catering for the smaller appetites with the Mini fish and chips which seemed very popular. great food.
Best F& C for miles, always use mr smiffs, although its a good ride from where we live, never been dissapointed, yum yum !
There’s fish and chips and there’s Mr Smiths fish & chips. There is a massive difference. If there was a Michelin star for fish & chips, these guys would have it without a doubt. Thank you for a great British dish done well. It was 2006 since I was in here and it’s still the same owner!. Just enjoye
Absolutely amazing. Stopped on canal for some much needed energy. Beautiful steamed fish in crunchy batter. Golden fluffy chips. Very very good. Queues show how popular it is.
