I can't believe this has been on my doorstep and I've only just discovered it.

Spare of the moment thing.....
Me and the Mrs where stuck for a place to go, friday night and it was about 8pm when we finally decided to eat out someplace!! but where?? we had called a few places and they couldn't fit us in due to time kitchen was closing! Called Cafe Casita and they had no problem seating us for an evening of delight.
ill begin with the service, felt like part of the family from the moment we stepped through the door, the people make you feel like your eating in their own dining room, service was quick food came out fresh and hot we had starters the Mrs had Salmone Affumicato amazing!! I hade Muscles in a garlic butter sauce also out of this world, for mains i had the sirloin steak with the Barolo wine & bacon sauce, she had Spaghetti Polpette we were both gob smacked on how amazing this food was.
For pudding i had Connoli and she had Tiramisu and one of the best sicillian wines i have ever had the pleasure of drinking.
to say the least i will be back as often as i can. 5* review isnt nearly enough for our experience here.

Great - they made a horrific mistake with our meal which I won't go into detail, but left me feeling like giving a one star. On the other hand, they swiftly corrected this without a fuss. Great.

This place is adorable, I can’t believe I haven’t been before. It feels like stepping back 20 years, down an old cobbled alleyway in Italy, it doesn’t feel like Gornal!
Slight mix up with our booking, although we had confirmation via email and the booking app, the staff assured us we hadn’t, even after showing them the email etc, so it was a disappointing start and then no one came to serve us for 20 mins. HOWEVER, the service got a lot better. All staff were helpful but we did have to call people over, I think where we sat, couldn’t be seen by staff.
Every dish was clearly made fresh and there was no rush between courses. Full of flavour and nicely presented.
I love the authenticity, it just lacked the going out feel for a Saturday night. This may have been due to our booking being overlooked, so tucked into a last space.
I would go back, as I think it deserves another chance, I just don’t think we got you all in your glory! It’s clearly a well loved restaurant.
Lovely, local and authentic Italian! The restaurant has a very comfortable, homely feel about it, and the staff add to that sentiment. Great range of dishes available which, of what we had, was delicious. The only negative I could mention is that the music was just a little too loud.
I had a great time here, enjoyed all of our food and was served promptly and precisely. Excellent portions excellent quality.
We have visited Cafe Casita multiple times in the last couple of years for intimate family meals and larger celebration events. Every time the service is flawless! Our server is always polite and knowledgable on the menu. Food is always delicious, hot and pretty fast being served. The restaurant has a great authentic Italian feel, is always well presented and clean.

Been wanting to come here for a very long time after driving/walking past it, and my partner has wanted to come here since she’s moved here. Hand sanitizer upon arrival with track & trace check in code. All the staff are very welcoming, friendly, helpful and all very masks. The lady we had who served us throughout our time (apologise I forgot her name began with A I think), she couldn’t have been anymore helpful. With a very wide range of food, she told us everything on the menu was very nice as she has tried everything! The decor of the restaurant is what I’d expect in a typical Italian restaurant, very rustic and has a feel of being in Italy. To start I had the belly pork with Jack Daniels sauce, I’ve never tried belly pork and it was so tasty and very tender. My other half had the goats cheese in filo pastry which was also very nice. For mains, I had the Risotto con salsiccia (spicy sausage, peppers, onions, garlic, tomato and chilli). It was so nice I’m glad it was a big portion as I wanted more! I don’t think the sausage was spicy but overall I was very impressed. Other half had a cheese chicken & mushroom calzone which was also nice. We had a nice bottle of white wine which absolutely complimented the whole meal. For dessert I had sorbet and other half had a deep fried cannoli once again both really nice. Reasonable priced meal for two people, and very highly recommended. Plenty parking and we will be back soon with our family. Very authentic home cooked Italian food and Cafe Casita is way better than some of these chain restaurants!!

Edit - returned, food was still amazing however service was slow. We had an older lady looking after us, mains took 40 mins from starter, not asked if we wanted more drinks.
Great restaurant, was a very lively atmosphere. The staff were attentive and friendly, the food was excellent. Would definately recommend 👌

Great food as usual. Just had a 30 minute wait for our order to be taken. Or would have been 5 stars.
First time eating here after saying for several years that we should try. How dissapointed I am that it took me this long! The menu had not one thing that me and my partner would not want to try, the staff were attentive and very polite and the food was unreal. Very authentic and a gem on our doorstep.

Well what can we say about Cafe Casita, first of all the atmosphere, decor and staff are beyond anyone's expectations. It's a lovely authentic restaurant, especially at Christmas where they go above and beyond a bit of tinsel!
Staff are really polite, very on the ball and quick to take orders etc.
The food is delicious, absolutely delicious and the best Italian we've had. Mario and Anna are lovely hosts, if you get a chance to visit, you won't be disappointed.
Amazing place,fantastic freshly cooked authentic Italian food,wonderful attentive service from our two waitresses.
