Nice and friendly little pub. Has a couple of rotating ales on. Open for lunch and dinner. Various events on during the month. Nice decor in the mens loos πŸ‘€β€οΈ. Interesting pictures up around the pub. Was a nice little half pint stop! 🍻 ⛴️ πŸ›³οΈ 🚀 🍻 🌊

A thoroughly lovely stop for a few pints and a chat at the Ship Inn yesterday. Good beer at good prices and freshly made cake too. Didn’t eat but would love to return.

Food was excellent and brilliant service. Very friendly and welcoming. Also have Timothy Taylor on draft which is a bonus. Would definitely recommend you try this little gem.

Had drinks and food here while visiting some freinds at Rawsons cottage. It's a lovely little pub and very welcoming. Very nice & generous portions of food and the staff were all really nice. We will go again next time we are visiting. Thanks.

Lovely welcoming staff, usual lunchtime cosy atmosphere - hungry diners! Quick attentive service and spotlessly clean. Great food, portions massive but they do do smaller portion on the menu, good varied mix to choose from plus cakes, tea and coffee. Food was freshly prepared, tasty and beautifully presented and well priced Would recommend and visit again. Well behaved dogs also welcome. Thank you 😊. Returned a couple of days later and meals were as good as the first time. Had the lite bite (smaller portion) this time which was great value and more than enough on the plate. Also saw they had a good selection on the kids menu.

We stopped off here last month for some lunch with our two dogs. Really lovely food and the owner was very friendly and chatted with us. Delicious cakes too! We had two dogs with us too so it's perfect being a dog friendly place. Dogs must be on leads which I fully agree with and made it nice to sit and have a meal without other peoples dogs near us. Thanks again.

Great food, Good choice of ales, good entertainment all in a friendly atmosphere, with reasonable pricing. It's a winning combo! Going back again soon. πŸ˜πŸ‘πŸ‘πŸ‘πŸ‘πŸ‘πŸ‘πŸ‘πŸ‘πŸ‘β™₯️ We went back. A fantastic night had by all. The Shanty shingers gave out shong sheets and we all had a great shing shong. I can honestly recommend (via my own fastidious judgment and that of trusted friends and Dutch table neighbours,) all things on the menu.. I also realised tonight what a splendid choice of bottled ales are available if you're too Old and Peculiar. πŸ˜πŸ˜‰ Thanks guys, hope to see you again soon β™₯️

Had a perfect lunch today. Gammon Steak wonderful. Scampi really nice. Third visit. My wife and myself will be back down before our caravan season ends on 5th January 2024. Take care.

Absolute gem of a place. We stumbled across this pub when we were cycling. All the staff are so friendly. The homemade cakes are incredible. We pre-booked the homemade pizzas for the night after and they were amazing. We only needed 2 pizzas (as advised by the locals at the time of booking!) and some sides for all 4 of us, they were huge! The pub is spotless and it's nice to see rules about dogs for a change e.g they are welcome but they need to be on a short lead. We would definitely recommend this place to anyone although we are secretly hoping this area doesn't get too popular as it's just lovely the way it is.

I had lunch here last week when visiting a friend who is local and what a great friendly pub serving excellent food. The owners and staff were very friendly and I would highly recommend it if in the area.
