Really yummy buffet and great kids eat for free :) looking forward to returning and trying other things on the menu!!

This pub had just reopened for table service 3 days before our visit. We were not new to the pub but had not been since it went to new ownership.
We booked on their web site. When we arrived we were welcomed into the building. Outside were others seated at tables. We chose to eat inside. At first glance the place was immaculate. The decor was very much a well loved and used country pub. We went to sample evening dining and were not disappointed! The main menu is of Indian cuisine though there are British meals such as traditional fish & chips on offer. There was no real ale on offer but that is understandable as it may take a while for trade to pick up so why waste a 40 pint barrel with not many consuming. QA good range of bottle beer is available though it would have been nice to have imported Indian beer rather than brewed under license in the UK! On to the cuisine!! I had the best chicken Tikka Masala & nan bread I have ever tasted. The lamb samosas as a starter were moreish!! Could go on and on! So, was there a dissapointment? Yes sadly the dessert. Should have been hot with chocolate running out but sadly was cool and perhaps frozen then microwaved, After years of visiting Indian restaurants I should have known better than to order but as this is fundamentally an English Country Pub, why not serve a platter of cheese and biscuits????? Please visit this pub. They do takeaway too.
Just returned and had a lovely mixed kebab platter which was plenty for two people. Was very tasty and the owners are very friendly, will return for a roast soon.
Great place to visit relax and enjoy good food with good service, relax in the courtyard and ask for an evening blanket. Worth a visit or two
Fancied an Indian meal, looked up local on tastecard, the white horse came up 9 miles away, what a gem traditional country pub and Indian restaurant in one with roaring log fire, there was a great atmosphere as soon as we entered , the food
And service was excellent, it was so good we didn,t bother to use tastecard, will definitely return very, good value.

Has to be one of the best Lamb currys I have ever had. Have visited here a few times now and the lamb is always succulent and falls apart. My parents always have the king prawn which is more like crayfish! Great value and great beers on tap. We will be returning as soon as get open again fully, but for the time being its takeaways only!
Just had a fabulous Indian curry meal with family at the White Horse. We were made to feel very welcome and the service was excellent. Have not been there for a few years but hope to return again very soon.
Easily the best indian food in Hampshire. My fiance and I drive 30mins for a takeaway and it's so worth it. We celebrate our anniversary here too. Food is amazing, so full of flavour, fresh, great portion sizes. Staff are so friendly and helpful. Cannot recommend enough.
We have eaten here or enjoyed a take away on numerous occasions after the restaurant was recommended to us about a year ago. We had previously struggled to find a decent curry restaurant that was on a par with authentic curries from the UK curry capital - Bradford!!! - and this restaurant is the best we have eaten in since moving South 11 years ago. The food is delicious and the chef will alter a dish to cater for either a more mild or spicy palate. The staff are always very attentive and friendly and the service is superb. Thanks again for another enjoyable evening
I come here often as part of Droxford CC. The food is always fantastic and the service is amazing as well. Opposition teams also LOVE coming here! I highly recommend the white horse for anyone looking for a curry or a pint
A group of us had a meal there last week ( 5 of us on one table outside covid rules 🙄) and was one of the best meals we have had in a long time. We plan to go back in May (indoors we hope 😊) great beer, and great service from the landlord and landlady.
Have eaten in here a couple of times and had drinks a good few times as well. I've had both the Indian menu and the Sunday roast - both very good and good value for money. Service always very friendly. Recommended.

An amazing pub with great service and atmosphere. The Indian food is superb and just as good when ordered as a takeaway. Been a few times and already know we will be going again! 🤙
The White Horse is a beautiful old pub set close to the road with enough parking for about 9 vehicles at the back. I used to go here when it was a pub several years ago and loved the atmosphere and quaint, traditional decor.
Now it is a brilliant Indian restaurant. The decor hasn't changed but that's part of its charm in my opinion.
We visited for lunch as a group of 8 after a walk on Winchester Hill and were delighted with the choice of food for lunch. The menu isn't vast, but carefully selected and the portions are just right for lunch. The food was delicious, my favourite was the chicken tikka with peshwari naan.
The chaps that own it were very welcoming and attentive. The price was reasonable too!
Visited with friends last night. Food was outstanding. Everything else, service, friendly atmosphere, really good. Already looking forward to my next visit. The best in many years!
Went there for the Meerkat two for one deal, not expecting much. The food was fantastic. Not had much Indian food before, everything was different, tasty not too hot spiced, but not overpowered by heat. Especially liked the Peshwari naan bread. Great service two open log fires, very cosy.
I have not been to The White Horse for some time but always look forward to returning as a lovely place. Darwen is a great chef and a lovely guy plus the owners are very friendly, welcoming hosts . I will be in Droxford the week after next and report back on my visit. Have made it again with friends and a very friendly welcome from the owner and we had a very amiable time . Strangers speak and chat it has that kind of atmosphere , relaxing. Look forward to eating next time as the curries are always excellent.
