Lovely place to stay, rooms have everything you need and more, comfy bed and pillows, all the toiletries you need in bathroom and really nice quality. Homemade gluten-free, vegan biscuits to have with you cuppa and fresh milk in a flask. Breakfast included, great menu to. Have stayed a few times now, always fantastic. Have eaten off pub menu a few times, food fantastic. Staff friendly and very helpful to.. thank you to Chris and all the staff

We did a family Sunday lunch in the bar (4 of us plus our toy poodle). The service was friendly and efficient, the food was surprisingly good (choice of roast) and the price fair. This is a lovely English country pub and I would be very happy to take visitors, including from overseas, to eat there.

We stayed overnight on the way to the Lake district, the pub is close to the M6 but in a lovely rural setting. The room was very comfortable and large. The breakfast was great and the whole experience was good value for money. `Butcombe bitter outstanding! Stay only marred by a somewhat ordinary evening meal.

An excellent Inn and the whole visit was without fault. The room was perfect, down to the smallest detail and the evening meal was varied and both meals we had were delicious. The breakfast in the morning by the log fire in the bar was the final excellent touch. I would certainly return when in the area.

The staff are very pleasant and the room was very nice. For the evening meal we started by sharing calamari, followed by my wife having the flat iron steak, and I the fishcakes. The calamari was very good and the steak was apparently also very good, the fishcakes were found wanting more sauce as the dish was dry and required regular sips of drink between mouthfuls. We had eggs Benedict for breakfast and this was very good. We would definitely stay here again 👍

Great pub location and atmosphere. Couple of things not available on the menu and a long wait for mains although other tables seemed not to be delayed. Food was tasty but the wait was disappointing as appeared couple of the dishes had been kept warm while waiting for others. Would still return as staff all friendly and service usually much more efficient.

I worked here over twenty years ago and even though some of the modifications over the years are not my particular taste, this remains one of the most lovely pubs/restaurants in the area. Nothing beats sitting in the gardens on a sunny day while the bowlers enjoy the crown green lawn and the kids play on the wooden playground obstacles. I haven't had the food on this visit, but I will and I am sure, from a quick look at the menu that it will be excellent. Phil gave solid service and is local to the area and knowledgeable on the history of the place and the fare on offer.

We only stopped for 1 night to break a long car journey. Nice room, friendly service, good beer and good food. Peaceful surroundings, just 10 mins or so from the M5 by car.

We have just enjoyed a Sunday lunch for 6 for our first visit. The inn itself is lovely and the staff could not have been better. The roast was really good and came quickly - and who can resist a yummy pudding !!

Breakfast next morning as delicious and again all out needs attended too. Really enjoyed our stay at The Hadley Bowling Green Inn. Would certainly return again. Thank you
