Clean and friendly, handy for the canal. Good menu. Visited a number of times and never ever had a bad meal. Make sure you book ahead! Highly rated.
This is a great spot for a drink or a meal.
4 of us did both Thursday last. Staff are very welcoming and the food quality was excellent. Highly recommended
Really enjoyed the salad bar which included cold meats for £9.95. Could also return for the top up if you wanted it. The kids roast was very good value at £6.95 too.

28/11/18 it's been a while since we visited the Fir Tree inn. On Wednesdays they offer a hot buffet which offers a self service of home cooked dishes, vegetables, rice and two potatoes. The food was exceptionally good, freshly cooked, tender meat and to die for sauces. By a country mile the food was
First visit, recommend by an associate. Driving into the car park, initial thoughts, nice quaint pub by the canal. On entering the pub, even nicer thoughts on decor and greeting by owner and landlord. Three of us had Sunday lunch. Myself the pork, husband the chicken and daughter the rib eye steak.
