The food was very nice, plentiful portions and at a reasonable price. We walked in and managed to get a table, but I would recommend you book. Lovely atmosphere and pleasant surroundings. A drink of local ale (Worcestershire Way) on the canal side is perfect on any Sunday afternoon. We will definitely be returning.

Late lunch ordered ham salad. When it came WOW it was a proper salad. Not just a bit of limp lettuce and a bit of cucumber. It was fantastic I enjoyed every mouthful. My husband enjoyed his "light bite" ham egg and chips it was large he said I thought I asked for a light bite....... will definitely be visiting again.

I’m not a big fan of “carvery” style pub chains but this place is on another level when it comes to a carvery. All cooked by a proper chef and taste like home made. Generous portions and great quality meats, you will not be disappointed. All washed down with a thatchers haze - amazing 🤩

Last minute family get together and excellent lunchtime food enjoyed by all. Portion sizes were much better than ‘average’. Everything cooked to perfection and five very happy customers. The location is great, overlooking the Birmingham and Worcester Canal where there is a lot of activity. Plenty of parking space and a light and airy atmosphere. 🤓

Set right on the canal side we found this lovely little pub, we were staying at the nearby campsite. We opted for Sunday carvery which didn't dissapoint with a choice of 4 meats and lots of veg, apart from for me it could have been a little hotter, booking is advised as it was busy. Staff were super friendly too defo worth a visit.

Nice pint of Timothy Taylors on a canalside walk. Carvery was inviting but would have negated the whole point of a healthy walk, we will return for a meal once we have burned off some more calories.

I met some friends for dinner. I had the fish & chips and had the biggest and best piece of battered cod I've ever eaten in my life - it was nice fresh juicy cod with a lovely thin crisp batter and the peas were tasty and soft. The chips were micro chips which I was not that fond of but hey, the rest of it was perfection! My friends went for the carvery and they were in raptures about how good it was - plenty of good quality meat plus oodles of vegetables and gravy.

Very good value Sunday lunch/carvery. A bit Toby Carvery like but in a great location overlooking the Birmingham and Worcester canal. We’ll worth a visit

What a great Carvery! Best i have had in a long while. I had the small size, and well, i could barely finish it. The pub itself is right on the Worcedyershire Canal system. Picnic tables down by the riverside, kids playing, and dogs. A beautiful location and pub. Very reasonably priced. Defo recommend this place for a nice relaxing drink near the riverside and superb food.

We got married this week and decided to have our meal /reception for 30 people at the Eagle and Sun. Right from the booking stage it was an easy process and we had great communication with Chloe. They blocked off the conservatory area for us and dressed the tables and chairs and we were greeted with prosecco and orange juice and all of the girls who served us were really lovely and friendly, nothing was too much trouble. The meal was great, we chose a Sunday roast and the portions were really big and hot, and we had a choice of 2 desserts. The weather was good so we were able to go outside and use their seating area and had a few more photos taken with the lovely canal backdrop. I would recommend this place to anyone for a good meal, welcoming staff and lovely surroundings. Thanks very much for making our day special x

Warm welcome to the Eagle and Sun this afternoon by the front of staff, quickly shown to our table (which was booked in advance). Drinks order taken straight away which were swiftly brought to the table with carvery token. Staff were pleasant serving the carvery and opted for one of each meat and all the trimmings. Food was very warm and plenty of gravy to my liking. Would like to have drinks menu and food menu on the table so you could see prices of carvery and desert options but nevertheless, really impressed and will be back again

Absolutely the best carvery anywhere around. Staff are friendly and all the food and drinks are reasonably priced. It can get a little cramped at busy times but its worth it for the delicious carvery food and the puddings are definitely worth trying also as are usually tasty!! Therea a lovely ' beer garden' next to the canal also which makes for a great place to enjoy a drink and relax. Highly recommended!!

Nice country pub next to canal which serves up Sunday carvery and has been extended at the back. Food very good although plates are a bit on the small side. Range of drinks and a small selection of ales are on offer. Can get very warm inside which isn’t conducive to eating a meal so would recommend air conditioning is installed.

Top draw this place. Small menu because its home cooked (proper) food. Carvery is the main show however the alternative mains are tasty too. Garden is set beautifully next to the canal with lots of outsode seating. Would recommend 😎

The staff were very friendly and welcoming and we didn't wait to long to get our drinks and food order taken. My pints of Doombar and Spitfire were rather disappointing as they weren't kept well and weren't chilled which would have been great on such a hot day when we visited. For lunch we had a round of Ham, egg and chips, two rounds of the Cajun chicken burger and a Bacon and cheese burger for myself all on brioche burger buns. All tasted good but we've had better burgers and Ham, egg and chips... Lovely moorings outside the pub with Hanbury Wharf on the other side of the canal although you might not always get a mooring spot here as they are popular with canal boaters... The only reason didn't give The Eagle and Sun 5 stars is due to the excessive loud music way into the early hours of the morning by musician singing and playing guitar with drums backing machine.. This carried on until 00h55 into the early hours of the Saturday morning....! Maybe the management or owners should look at curtailing such music night's at a sensible cut off point...even midnight would have been acceptable.

Food and service was 100 times better than our last visit. The only thing I’d prefer was if you could dish your veg yourself then of course they can free a member of staff.
