Went tonight for the first time in a while as but out of the way but really well worth the journey.
Great buzz about the place, really warm welcome and lovely food.
HPA kept really well (well at least for the 3 pints I had). Steak cooked to perfection n for medium rare rib-eye!
Going to try beach hut in the summer.

Our first visit was excellent and we will certainly be going back. The food was delicious and the staff were lovely and friendly. I definitely recommend it, particularly on a Monday night when There are free tasters at the bar!

Had a fantastic meal last night, I had looked at the menu beforehand and not seen anything I could eat as I'm a fussy vegan, so I gave them a call and they were very accommodating! They made me a lovely vegetable risotto which should definitely be added to the menu it was delicious. Great food and service will be back soon. Thanks

We went for breakfast yesterday food was fabulous and Roger is a great host.
We go several times a year, always great quality food - beach hut hire is a must for family occaions
Our Son and his wife treated us to Lunch loved it Good service and we all enjoyed our meals including Grandchildren we will defiantly go again and we would all recomend it

Lovely place and the food was outstanding. I had the chick, ham and leek pie and although when it appeared it looked on the small side, the taste was amazing and it was really filling. Veg was excellent too. Drinks were good. Staff were very good, however, they did lose our initial order do we had to reorder but it came very quickly and they took our initial drinks order off the bill. Great customer service in my book. A lovely evening and we will definitely go again.

π It was my second visit here in the last two weeks, and I can safely say it's my favourite place π― to eat in this neck of the woods.
The service is top notch, friendly and welcoming. The food is great, tasty, and at a very reasonable price.
Tonight I had a diet coke, white coffee β veggie lasagne and a side of seasonal veggies for just over Β£22, absolutely hit the spot after a long day at work! Pukka π€©
Good access in and out of the pub, plenty of seating, nice and warm π₯ and a great ambience within.

Had a lovely lunch of vegetarian lasagne and fish and chips. Huge portion of fish which was delicious. Two pots of tea.
Good, friendly and quick table service.
We arrived early on a Friday at about 12.15 without having booked and there were plenty of options for tables to sit at.
I forgot the receipt for this one but it totalled around Β£35.
My wife and I and 4 friends meet there for lunch every month if we can and always have a wonderful afternoon. The food is top class and the staff are brilliant. I always look forward to going there and have never been disappointed.
New local ish pub, been few times now, staff are lovely and food is just ace, maybe need a few more summer option's.
Amazing place for lunch. Food was brilliant. Service was beyond excellent - they dealt with our coeliac member of the group absolutely perfectly. Supplied separate menu and checked regularly that everything was OK. The atmosphere was just right, bubbly but not loud. Couldn't recommend it more completely.
Genuinely the best full breakfast I have had, the service was absolutely first class, a definite visit again place, try it you won't be disappointed!
Returned some while since last visit for light bite to eat and the food is amazing sweet corn fritters to die for.
Superb customer service so rare these days..we were made to feel incredibly welcome and they accomodated us for food with no booking.
They also made our little collie welcome so thank you guys...The food was delicious and the Pinot Grigiot the best I've ever had!
Great first visit to The Chequers tonight, this pub was recommended to me and we were not disappointed. Cheese board was very good. Will definitely be back very soon
