A hidden gem! A really warm and friendly atmosphere created by the chef and the manager. Made us feel welcome from the moment we walked through the door. They made special effort with my little boy and as we left, they even gave him a present from under the tree! Will definitely be coming back as the food was just as good as the service!

I’ve been to the black horse I few times now, food always beautiful and big portions, also not long waiting times. Really nice atmosphere and staff are lovely and very attentive. In a beautiful little village too. Highly recommend visiting.

This was a lovely pub in a quiet little village, which seemed very popular. The staff were very nice and friendly and there was plenty of seating outdoors and some indoors. This pub is dog friendly, indoors and outdoors. It was very clean, and the food was of descent portions. There is even a dog hydration station outside. The only reason I gave a lower mark was that my wife's steak was a little chewy, which in all fairness could have been the steak and I wanted a medium steak and it was a bit well done. Overall, though this is a lovely pub and would recommend

The Black Horse Inn is a popular traditional village pub. There were quite a few people in having meals when I visited. There is a separate lounge/ dining room and a nice cosy dog friendly bar with a real fire. There is a good choice of beers, lagers, and cider, including two hand-pulled cask conditioned real ales when I called in. There is outside seating at the side of the pub.

Brilliant stunning local family pub first time we have tried the food Only 1 thing we didn't know was as its a Friday its a limited menu to fish scampi pie or sausage The staff were excellent 👌 Meg behind the bar very good and fast and prompt Sophie who cleared our dishes and brought food was very friendly and efficient We opted for the steak pie was beautifully cooked and the chips for everyone was all the same 110% spot on

Visited the Black Horse for the first time today for Sunday lunch. We had a gorgeous beef dinner, all home-made. Yorkshire puddings, beef and gravy all beautiful! Staff are amazing, managed to book us in on New Year’s Eve and save us a dinner even thought they where super booked. Desserts were lovely too. I had sticky toffee pudding with custard and my husband had chocolate fudge cake with ice cream. The pub itself is so welcoming and cosy, fires lit fairy lights. We noticed a few people had ordered baguettes, hot and cold and also the lasagne looked amazing!! So we will definitely be back to try the rest of the menu! Overall 10/10 from us.

Been there a few times, last year, and this week most recent. Can't fault the friendliness of the staff and the chef. Read some of the negative reviews left and I cannot agree with any of them. A very welcoming place in my experience.

Just had the best battered sausage and chips for ages. My wife had scampi and chips and said they were the best chips she's had. The staff are very friendly and service was great. If you want a great pub meal excellent service just visit.

A nice, welcoming, dog-friendly village pub on the lovely green at Atwick and just a few hundred yards from the cliff edge. Open all day, should you fancy an impromptu pint, and serving food lunchtimes and evenings. Food is varied and is 'good honest' pub fare; all home made and of good-sized portions. Specials nights throughout the week - we often have the steak deal on a Friday and Saturday. Always a good range of well-kept beers with usually three or four hand pulled ales. With the option of outside seating in summer and a crackling real fire for the colder months, the Black Horse ticks many boxes.

We were stopping at a local camp site for a couple of nights so visited the Blackhorse Inn. We had hoped to eat there but unfortunately they were unable to serve food as they were referring the kitchens. The pub itself is very friendly and welcoming, the landlady and landlord are both very friendly and helpful. There was quiz on the Sunday night so the pub was very busy with some very friendly locals who made us feel very welcome. Would recommend visiting even if it is just for a drink and a packet of crisps
