Wow. We regularly go for a motorcycle group meet . 32 of us this time. Into the restaurant and seated quickly . The food , staff and service is brilliant . Senior special for me as I'm a small eater ... lol well that went wrong . The senior special is massive . Fish chips and gravy and a pudding .
What a great chip shop.. We were staying locally on holiday (up from Southampton) and were looking forward to visiting a chip shop up north. This one did not disappoint at all, the prices were good, the food was good, it had a great selection with a choice of takeaways or eat in, They give you a bag
The food was amazing! I ordered the prawn thai red curry which was amazing. Others with me got the fish and chips. For the price: amazing. The portion sizes are big which makes it even better. Great service and friendly staff! Would love to come again.
It’s been a long time since we have paid a visit here, so we thought it was time to do a review. Starters. Prawn Cocktail The prawns were well presented in a glass with crisp lettuce and side serving of bread. They were fresh, tasted great and a generous serving. Homemade fish cakes The homemade f
Really lovely food went for a huge piece of poached salmon rather than the normal fish and chips which are delicious! But I didn't have good envy just as delicious a meal. Very friendly service.
Awesome fish dinner, I always go back when I'm I'm the region.
Just had fish, chips & curry sauce all in a box and it was amazing. I live by the coast and despite some strong competition, this was one of the best fish and chips I've had. The portion was huge including a very large haddock. Reasonable price too, at only £7.80 for the lot I'll be coming here freq
A few years ago I lived in Beverley and I used to drive past people queuing up the street at Stuart’s of Driffield there. As a huge fish and chip aficionado (having done a few of the national award winners, including Anstruther) I made a point of going one rainy weekend and I remember it nostalgical
Delightful birthday meal, fish and chips tasted amazing, nice tea (drink) too - would go again.
My second time here and both times the food has been amazing. Very friendly staff and very good value for money with massive portions!
My wife and myself had pensioners meals this afternoon and what amazing value. Beautiful haddock fillets, perfectly cooked, ample delicious chips, tasty mushy peas and a slice of bread and butter each plus a pot of tea to share. I had sticky toffee pudding and cream for dessert and my wife had che
Absolutely brilliant food and amazing service. I had a party of 47 and everything was perfect. Thank you to all the staff for a lovely evening
Take away fish and chips. Freshly cooked. Prices reasonable.
Nice fish and chips which are fried to order so they're piping hot. Batter isn't too thick and the fish is chunky. Nice patties and scraps too
Lovely food in good portions, I really liked the smoked haddock and leek gratin but had to take it home to finish. Puddings on our table were good and the oldies on our party love the senior citizens special! The kids' fish and chips meal is the perfect portion size. Will definitely return on future
There was 8 adults including my 91 year old in laws and my toddler grandson. They looked after us really well and would definitely go again
Usual quality fish and chips and good value ( tea time special). Portions on the large side and we were unable to eat all the chips and peas. Service was friendly and quick.
