We've been here a few times now and confirm that the steak pie is every bit as good as stated in other reviews. It is served with a jug of the most delicious gravy ever. We have also tried the southern fried chicken. This too is excellent. Juicy sculpture chicken in a crunchy spicy coating. Will definitely be back. Especially as it is just over the road from us.

Amazing help yesterday, broke down not too far away, a pws need the toilet and ended up with free drink, even a pot of tea and lovely food, amazing staff helped keep him entertained in our dilemma, and when we are back around that end. We will for sure go back. Couldn't have asked for a better place to brake down. Thank you so much, such a huge help X

An excellent meal here a few weeks ago, nothing ground breaking but good food, decent price, helpful staff, nice and clean, good sized car park, I really couldn't fault it.

We managed to walk in on a Sunday (2 of us) and get a table. They did say we needed to wait until it was cleared but we were more than happy to. The food - Yorkshire puddings with sausages, a choice of potatoes and vegetables were delicious and hot. I was very impressed with the level of service too. We will definitely visit again.

It is a great place to stop over for lunch or evening tea. Food is homemade and delicious. The landlord, chef and waiting staff are very accommodating and go out of their way to make you feel very welcome Would definitely go again.

Went here for Sunday lunch with our two dogs and I have to say, it was a first class experience. The food was very delicious and well prepared. We were particularly impressed by their gluten free menu, something that is often quite difficult to find in this area. The staff were very attentive and nothing was too much trouble. They made the dogs very welcome too. We enjoyed a Sunday roast with vegetables, all cooked to perfection. The atmosphere was very relaxed. We will definitely be going there again. Highly recommended

On the way through to Whitby, called for an evening meal. The homemade steak pie is divine. Staff were so attentive and chatty as were the locals. So much so a week later, we called again. It had to be reserved steak pies, with plenty of veg, roast potatoes and the best steak gravy. Plentiful. Followed by rhubarb pie and custard. Compliments to the chef lady and host Mike, our waitresses, her pastry, Sophie and Taz. Mike even helped to pass on a message to a couple we met and even IT advice from Sophie. Amazing experience, we'll be back!

Staying in the village for a few days over Christmas, just the 2 of us and a well behaved Labrador. Always love a pub that welcomes the pooch. This is probably some of the most fantastic pub food we have had, so much so that our plans to cook in our rented cottage have gone out of the window. Their selection of food was great - something to sort all tastes. Delivered hot and freshly cooked and tasting great. Can particularly recommend the battered mushroom starter - batter to die for. Prawn cocktail which puts every other prawn cocktail I have ever had to shame - absolutely loaded with prawns. Burgers fantastic and a homemade steak pie that has to be on your "must have list". The best chips too. Nice atmosphere, friendly and welcoming customers, unlike some village pubs where you are made to feel like an alien the minute you walk through the door! Great team and nothing too much trouble. Highly recommended and a definite return for us. Thank you Robin Hood.

We went to the Robin Hood Inn on a Sunday to celebrate the very big birthday of a relative. The food was home cooked, they had two roast dinners available as well as lasagne, steak pie, chicken strips etc. They brought serving dishes with a variety of vegetables to the table. There was a good choice of desserts, we had lemon pavlova which was delicious. The place was very popular so booking a table is essential. There is a good sized car park across the road from the Inn.
