Find Docs is always good in Newcastle, Ardglass and now here. The single cod was golden and crispy with a few chips. Whilst not the biggest I ever got it was adequate and tasty. Around £6.00 is fair price and place very clean.

My wife and I were foreign nurses who arrived in Downpatrick in 2007 and worked for two years there. We always eat fish and chips every week in that place. After three years we moved to England, and a couple of years on we migrated here to the USA. Until now, with so many fish and chips shops we went to in UK and US, we still think that the Docs of Downpatrick are still the best we ever had.

At one level it is a very good takeaway which provides a varied menu ranging from fish and chips to burgers and chicken. If you decide to eat in this little place really excels. You get restaurant style food and service for a fraction more than takeaway prices. Our server, who divided her time between the sit down area and the takeaway, could not have been more attentive. On both aspects, takeaway and sit in, I would highly recommend.

Had the haddock and chips sitting in. Well presented and very tasty. Can recommend. We returned to Doc's for another meal in Jan 2018 and once again it was spot on. Carry out was very busy but we were attended to with no problems. Meal comes well presented for a chip shop. The staff are great and know what you need before you do.

Visited Dpk Docs on sat 12 Oct at approx 2.30. Sat in cafe & greeted by a friendly efficient helpful young waitress. Our meals arrived quickly & were tasty & good size & price. Our waitress was extremely helpful & smiling at all times.

Doc's Fish & Chip shop was ultra clean. I ordered over the phone, very pleasant girl took my order. The fish suppers were large and very tasty.

The inside is absolutely immaculate, as are all of the staff. The service is prompt, efficient and always very pleasant. The prices are fantastic and the variety of the menu is vast - there's seriously something for everyone here from the most delicious plump and juicy burgers, over-stuffed baguettes, chicken curry, filled sodas, and hot dogs, to the icing on the cake, the main event, the big deal for anyone who loves fish: the cod. It is a thing of breathtaking beauty. The haddock is similarly gorgeous, too, I must add, and the scampi is battered and also divine, served with salad, a few chips and tartare sauc

We were a little unsure of the restaurant since it looked fairly trendy from the outside, but once indoors, we found phenomenal service and the best fish and chips I've ever had. The breading was what made it truly delicious, and I just wish I could go back for more!

Been at this place a few times over the years. The food is very good, one of the best fish suppers I have had, unfortunately the portions are not as big as they used to be
