I went to visit dakshin with my husband and toddler. The restaurant has a pleasant atmosphere and attentive service. They made us feel very comfortable. The food was delicious and authentic. There were many options to choose from and a variety for my toddler too. I will definitely be going back as
My second meal here and loved every minute. Fabulous food, Chicken Dhansak and Onion Bhaji to die for,.my father was swooning over his chicken tandoori. Love the fact that you don't use food colouring everywhere, I hate luminous curries. Ali's Garlic Roti was really tasty, and a surprise treat. We w
Had my birthday celebration at this amazing restaurant Saturday 26th February, the restaurant was extremely busy and there were 14 of us. Despite this the food was as always outstanding and the service perfect we just love to come here and Ali and his team are so welcoming & really lovely people……hi
This is our first visit to Dakshin restaurant and we really enjoyed the food, especially the Ali Roti and Onion Bhaji which were both large in size. The service was excellent and the owner, Ali, made us feel welcome. We were even offered complimentary drinks after our meal, which was a nice gesture.
Ali is back and excellence resumed. Brilliant meal, head and shoulders above all other locals. Great variety of fish dishes too x
Excellent food. Have eaten here for the first time and it was a good experience. Staff was friendly. Great flavours. Really enjoyed the food. One suggestions: Toilets need more cleaning. Apart from this everything else was fabulous.
First time here. Wow, amazing food. Ali and his staff are attentive, helpful and friendly. The food is not your usual Bangladeshi/indian. The monkfish tikka starter melts in your mouth. The onion bhajis are huge 😊 Highly recommend x
Great food and great service... thank you for the hospitality and added touch with the birthday balloons, it was lovely.
Possibly the best curry I've ever had and although I'm not normally an onion bhaji fan the owners boast about them being the best was warranted! Great staff great food
Had a lovely evening with my wife. Service was excellent with the waiters being very attentive and friendly. As for the food, ten out of ten! The Bhajis were a must and the flavours in our all the dishes were cooked to perfection. Well done all at the Dakshin. Will definitely be coming again
A lovely little gem of a Indian, the food is amazing, the service is lovely, and the atmosphere is relaxed If you haven't been here you need to go
Excellent food, staff very attentive, host/owner very hospitable. I chose the lamb shank dish, out of this world very tender & flavoursome! The onion bhaji's what can I say.... Big very big but delicious. Myself & my husband had been recommended this restaurant by a friend, so glad we have finally
We are from Brazil and had the most fantastic experience! We went on a Monday evening (typically less busy) and got to be hosted by the restaurant’s owner. He was the most considerate and friendly host! The food was just amazing - all freshly cooked, delicious! The whole experience was terrific, an
lovely food. Not a full house, but all seated on the same side of the restaurant...it would have been nice to have been spread out a bit. It just felt a little cramped.
Fabulous curry! Dakshin catered for us on Xmas day as we fancied something different and couldn’t have asked for more! Staff were super friendly and fun, food was amazing. Lovely desserts. My son was made to feel special when they bought him out a kids cocktail and lollipops at the end of the meal.
We occasionally ate at this restaurant a few years ago before it shut down, so we thought we'd give the Tuesday buffet menu a try (a smaller menu choice than the full menu, but something to suit all tastes and at £14.95 for 4 courses, excellent value for money) as it has recently reopened under new
