First time at this beautiful intimate venue. The staff, like family were amazing. The food lovely and atmosphere perfect for our small family wedding. Thanks Rafiq and wife for such a wonderful experience. ❤

A lovely little cafe/restaurant. Not your typical cafe you get in town especially dover! Lots of variety and the food is absolutely delicious... the times I have been I didn't have to wait long for the food to arrive and it was lovely and hot. The owners are also very nice and welcoming. There's a really good atmosphere. I have had the poached eggs and ham on toast. The seafood linguine is VERY tasty! The sharing platter was also 👌 highly recommend xx
Cafe melange! The popular small cafe hidden in the mist among the straits of dover. Nothing but perfection about this place. Lovely couple family business, thats how you know they care about the freshly and healthy sophisticated selection of food, and beverage made with homely love and effort. Had some chai latte, peri peri pasta with poached eggs on the side. All i can say is i can taste so many ingredients on it. Absolutely delicious.

I wasn’t an easy customer as I didn’t have my morning coffee yet 😝 but the folks here were phenomenal. Super flexible, patient (with me), and great listeners.
I had coffee and breakfast here.
The coffee (my order= flat white + almond) you can tell was made on good coffee bean blend. It was not bitter or burnt as most coffee shops have when it is low quality; instead here the quality was high and it was very rich and creamy. It instantly got rid of my morning crankiness 😂. Additionally, for the price, the size was perfect. Worth the money.
I also couldn’t make my mind between pancakes and eggs and the server was super sweet and let me customize my order to add both. It really made my day. The pancakes were fluffy and soft with the right amount of maple syrup. It was topped with banana and lastly with slices of ham. It was the perfect blend of salt and sweet which my palate was in the mood for. (Picture included).
The restroom is very clean and makes you feel like you are in a high class restaurant with it’s nice smelling soap and lotion. Honestly the only thing that I wouldn’t be surprised if it was added would be mouth wash 😆.
The only negative side of the place is the annoying/bad street performer on the other side of the street 😂 which isn’t affiliated with this place. Therefore if he is playing the a day you come make sure to sit inside. The restaurant does a great job drowning out the annoyance with some nice relaxing elevator music.
In summary, 100% recommend as a Dover breakfast spot.
We are back to Cafe Melange for the second day in a row for our breakfast. My husband had an omelette yesterday and the frittata today. Both were very good, but he favours the frittata. I had the vegetarian breakfast yesterday with some hash browns and it was SO GOOD! I loved it. Today I went for a lighter breakfast and had the continental breakfast with a hot chai latte. Again, love it! Our very picky eater son had the pancakes both days and devoured them!
All in all, highly recommend this cafe. Food is very reasonably priced. Friendly faces and wonderful service.
I would like to start by saying this is by far the best cafe I have ever been to ! The atmosphere was amazing the staff were so friendly it’s by far 5* and above. Me and my family came to Dover for a day trip and one of the locals recommended this cafe for us. The food was amazing. We had an amazing experience I would highly recommend cafe melange.

Went there for lunch. Waited about 40 minutes to be served but we weren't in a rush and the atmosphere is good. Food was delicious and cheap.
Noise level: okay. Jazz music, maybe a bit loud but it's a small, cozy room so definitely autism friendly.
As a Parisian, the decoration in the café is hilarious (basically random shots of Paris). We liked it.
We absolutely love visiting Cafe Melange! The food is excellent, the owners are lovely and the atmosphere is second to none. Love the chilled jazz music which is a great background to the friendly service and delicious food. Number one place to eat in Dover!

Had two delicious fruit scones and latte coffee here earlier today - very enjoyable. First visit but it won't be my last!!! Very well presented, service was very quick and cafe very clean and tidy. Very impressed with what I read on the menu too so will be telling my friends all about it. Service was superb - thankyou.

Was looking for somewhere a little different for lunch and found this new gem. Great atmosphere, lovely staff, and the food was amazing! So fresh and tasted amazing. We can't wait to go back and try something else from the menu. Will be a regular stop for us now
Dover has many cafes around its Market Square yet Cafe Melange stands out as its best. Offering a wide variety of good food at affordable prices with fast service, it is definitely one of the best places in Dover to get lunch or breakfast. The atmosphere is relaxing in there and with lounge music playing overhead it did not feel like your typical greasy cafe. The owners are lovely and would definitely visit again.
Just went again this morning for a nice big breakfast, all cook freshly. Best pasta I have tried in a long time, very reasonable price as well. A huge selection of Pizza, Breakfast and sandwiches. Nice coffee too
