National Trust Visitor Centre Cafe - Dover - Photo album

I had the most breathtaking experience visiting the National Trust's Dover White Cliffs site. The views are simply spectacular, especially during sunset when the golden light bathes the landscape, and you can gaze out over the iconic Dover Castle. The beauty of the coast is truly unparalleled. One
Absolutely stunning. A must see and experience. We walked to the lighthouse and back. At times a challenging walk with steep areas. Made me nervous to be right at the edge or to watch people get very close to the edge of the cliffs. Lovely place for tea at the lighthouse! It was a clear day, and we
I have travelled to the White Cliffs of Dover many times, and I highly recommend making the trip out here. It's an absolutely fantastic place to be when the weather is clear, amazing walking/cycling paths and an amazing view of ferries going to and from France. It can get pretty dangerous but for
Excellent place to start your walk along the white cliffs. Free parking for National trust members or £5 per day otherwise. You paying or scan at a hut on entrance to the car park. There are a few spaces by the side of the road before the main building then more up on the hill to the side and back o
A lovely spot with easy access to footpaths along the iconic white cliffs. There’s a great circular walk along to the lighthouse a couple of KM east along the coast. There’s a new footpath helping with the soil erosion and making it more accessible to mixed ability walkers. Lots of picnic benches an
Beautiful walk along the cliffs. Some dangerous edges were a bit scary with my over-adventurous children. But no immediate danger if everyone sticks to the path. Stopped for coffee at the white Lighthouse where the children loved flying kites available to borrow for free! Would have loved to explore
One of the best outings for families, groups of friends, students, couples or singles. There is ample parking space, but be aware that you will need to pay around 7£ for 1 1/2 hours. You will need at least 50 minutes to get to lighthouse which is located at the end of the trail and another 1 hour to
Beautiful place.. Most Recommended.. Good for trekking... It is just 1.5 hrs away from Greenwich, London. Plenty of space for a car park. You just have to pay £5 for full day parking. The trekking path starts after a car park and goes to a beautiful lighthouse. Facilities available - Kids play area,
At the risk of giving away a new-found secret, this National Trust area of the White Cliffs with its several walks helpfully explained according to walking time is a wonderful walk atop chalk downland. Views of the Port of Dover abound and morph as ferries come and go below. Spectacular views includ
On a windswept, Sunny morning the views of the Channel, Dover Port and the famous cliffs themselves, took our breath away! The restaurant and gift shop both are well stocked. There's ample car parking space as well.
I loved this place! You can have a long walk and enjoy the amazing view of the White Cliffs. Also you may take a short walk if you like 🤣 From here you can walk to the lighthouse and tee room. For parking you pay 5 pounds.
Worth the hike up if walking, the path is very well maintained and the view is stunning. We went on a day where all weather was experienced so always park a waterproof. Even in the rain its stunning Half way along there is a light house with a tea room - recommend a pit stop in there Wear good walki
Amazing views of the famous cliffs! We just went to the Trust park. 5$ parking was more than worth the view. 45 min from Leeds Castle, easy drive. Great hiking for all levels. We got here late, about 4 pm, and 2 hours flew by. This could easily been an all day outing. Finally off our bucket list but
A truly outstanding place to visit. Only £5 to park all day, with lots to see and some outstanding walks to enjoy.
Absolutely beautiful views. If you are walking up to the cliffs instead of driving just know it's a bit of a steep climb. It's a very good pathway up and straightforward. Try to get there early to avoid the crowds. There are very nice restrooms and a restaurant (plus gift store) at the top.
Such a lovely experience. I always wanted to visit here and I'm so glad I came. Wonderful views of the cliffs, surrounding nature and the sea. There are well kept trails and a café. I would definitely recommend paying a visit
I hadn't been here for a long time, but I wasn't disappointed. Such a great viewpoint over the Channel and the port and the visitor centre and cafeteria were incredible. The staff there were superb and the food was lovely. I will definitely be going again!! PS. The Earl Grey tea was perfect, and the
Spent a glorious couple of hours here, just did the short walk (with kids with short legs!) We didn't get very far! The cafe was very busy when we arrived and the queue was a bit out of control, luckily the shop was able to put our ice cream transaction through. Parking is a bit of a hair raising ex
Wonderful coastside walk, with a good view of the port, and even France from afar on a sunny day! Entrance for a group of 5 people was free, and there is parking available. Pack water and snacks, but get your rubbish with you as there are no bins provided alongside the coast walk.
