I recently visited Dover and on seeing the reviews for this place I decided to visit for dinner. The food was incredible, to start were mussels and for mains my partner and I had the steak and swordfish, all were exceptional and cooked to perfection. For dessert we enjoyed panna cotta and tiramisu, authentic and delicious.
As the saying goes, ‘It was so nice, I had to do it twice’, therefore I went again for dinner the next night. Somehow the food was even better this time around, the seafood linguine is the best I’ve ever tried and the veal was amazing.
The staff were all wonderful: the owner is friendly and very attentive, the waiting team were efficient and welcoming and the chefs are evidently the best in town.
5 stars, 10/10, highly recommend for everyone
Great food, staff were nice and attentive. Got busy on the Saturday night and loads of people were turned away, so best to book a table. I think that the background music could be more "Italian".
Arrived there just by coincidence we had a very tasty pizza !!
The “Vulcano” pizza is able to satisfy both taste and desire for spicy feelings.
Had also a very good ice cream.

Excellent restaurant for a rustic and calm vibe. Menu offered a variety of foods, and despite only picking the pizza, It was still a satisfying lunch. The food was at a reasonable price. The atmosphere was really nice, and service was great. If I ever come back to Dover, I’m sure to come back here as well!

A lovely humble restaurant. Genuine Italian, with a proper Italian menu. Wife and I went to Sorrento a few years ago, and Il Rustico is every bit an authentic Italian experience, but in Dover! Lovely food, made fresh, served by a charming team. We've been here several times over the years and will continue to recommend it.
Walked in for lunch on a quiet afternoon, was received warmly by the host and served amazing food. Mussels, Swordfish steak, Carbonara. Portion size is quite big, and we didn't have any space left for dessert. Would love to go back again to try more of their food.
We had a lovely lunch here on our way to Dover Castle. Highly recommended place! Mussels were super fresh and the carbonara reminded me of my mother’s cooking. Service was very good as well.
