If you want to grab a bite early, particularly on a weekend, Happy chef is a good choice! They're open by 730. Fresh coffee, English breakfast, eggs, you name it! I had their poached eggs on toast. Good stuff! The owners are friendly and welcoming. The view of the pier is nice too! It's priced quite reasonably.

Just came off a cruise and this food is hands down 10 times better than anything on the ship.
The eggs were perfect cooked and the tomato’s were farm fresh; someone is paying attention to the inbound produce.
In fact this was the best meal I have ever had in the UK and super inexpensive.
Best burger I've tried in a wile, absolutely exquisite. Staff were very friendly and helpful. Apparently they do more breakfast and late lunch, but now they are planning to extend menu. Can't wait!! I've been few times in Dover, definitely is worth it go there to try their food, hospitality and approachable prices. 100% recommended
Without doubt (and consistently) the best breakfast sandwich I’ve ever had. Always bring clients here and they say the same too. Always have the fully loaded (and ask for melted cheese and onions on outside) will blow your minds. Enjoy ;)

This place does everything right! Me and my family loved eating here and the sausage is luxurious! I loved it here because it reminded me of bob’s burgers and the food is good. The decor is jaw-dropping.

The Happy Chef is a very nice diner that serves a proper English Breakfast at a very reasonable price. It had their Large Breakfast, which is basically an English Breakfast without black pudding. It was prepared quite well and served with very fresh toast and butter. This was a perfect place to stop before hiking up to Dover Castle and then along the English Coast Path.

Easily one of the best English breakfasts I've enjoyed, and I've had one or two over the years. Fresh, quality ingredients (Cumberland sausage, bacon with hardly any fat, tomato and black pudding grilled to perfection), friendly service and reasonably priced.
Love the food here, the staff are great and the place is always so clean and nicely kept. Highly recommend!
