Wow! What a great place. Greeted right away. The staff were friendly. Food was delicious. The Beef Stroganoff was some of the best I’ve ever had. The local lager they had was unique and great. After you walk the cliffs stop here for a great lunch and a drink.
Brilliant evening. Unrushed service, arrived early and table was available. Had drinks then ordered. Menu is small but good varied selection and everything was delicious and generous portions. Beef stroganoff was extremely tasty, fish was light and chips were awesome! Lovely atmospheric pub. Than
Everything a good British pub needs. Lovely people, good beer and delicious food. The chicken curry was nice and spicy but not to hot. The sausage were very tasty with a hint of sage, and the batter of the cod was thin light yet crispy. We had a great last dinner before leaving the UK. But be quick
First time eating at the white horse last week after the cinema and I have to say the food was absolutely delicious! By far one of the best curry’s from a pub that I have ever tasted plus a homemade Bhaji. The desserts also very delicious can’t fault the food what so ever. Easy access as you can par
The White Horse in Dover is an amazing pub. The staff is so friendly and found us a table even though they were fully booked for the night. Our server was amazing and so kind and made us feel welcome. The fish and chips were honestly the best I've ever had in my life. The fish was caught fresh that
What a warm welcome we received when we went into the White Horse pub. Every single person in the pub spoke to us at some point in our visit, it was so nice. Our food was really tasty and filling. If you are visiting Dover don't just sit in your hotel room, get yourself to this hidden gem with lovel
We came on a day when the kitchen was unfortunately closed, but the service was very nice, and the cold Guinness tasted delicious 😀.
Went for lunch with my friend. Food was good. Not necessarily as good as expected after reading reviews. Dumpling was very tough, and pudding could have been better (fruit crumble). Service was fine and staff friendly.
Small and extremely busy. Very friendly and the food was good. I had sausage and mash. Friends said the hamburger was delicious.
Probably the nicest pub I found in Dover. Had a decent pint of Harvey's Best Bitter. Locals a lot friendlier than the ones I ran into at The Eight Bells. Toilets were clean.
