I stopped off here to eat and was in time for Sunday Roast. The Meal Absolutely 10/10 for the meal, never have I tasted such tender beef and just the right amount of fat, it was perfect. Staff I was greeted by a lovely young lady and they were all very pleasant but the lady seated me and offered me water (now I am not complaining as I didn’t want any alcohol) but then a gentleman came and asked me if I needed anything and I said I was fine then he asked if I have ordered and I told him I told the first lady that I wanted the roast and next my meal arrived. Now I would have got the lady to seat the guest then tell them the beverage waiter will be with them soon then he can take the beverage order plus the food and you will make more money and have happy guest!! P.S. everything was fantastic and I will visit again just constructive criticism!!

We had the pleasure of dining at this lovely, recently renovated, restaurant. I went into the experience expecting relatively typical pub food (which I would have been perfectly happy with:), but was thrilled to find that this restaurant has an elevated menu—-while there is a nod to “pub food” the combination of ingredients and quality of the food bring comfort food to a new level. We dined outside on the patio (they have generous umbrellas in case there is a bit of rain!). The restaurant’s interior was beautifully renovated-you still feel the history, but the updates create a light, organic, cozy atmosphere (with some fun wallpaper thrown in here and there). One of the best parts of our experience was the staff. We felt immediately welcomed, and our requests were all happily accommodated. Our waiter, Struan, was all around fantastic (and so sweet to our kids!). Such a great group of people! This business clearly takes a lot of pride in what they do!

A great wheelchair accessible stop for lunch. Accessible parking bays right at the door, button to press that opens the door. A couple of different table styles to choose from (staff were great and offered a choice when we arrived). Lovely accessible toilet. Food wise, we were asked right away about allergies, and if we'd need the vegan or gluten free menus. A reasonable selection of vegan options. Service was friendly and attentive, but not fussy.

Absolute gem. Stayed overnight for work and so glad I booked here. The hospitality was great from the first interaction right through till I checked out. The room was decorated to a very high standard and was meticulously clean. The cherry on the cake to my stay was the food, which was amazing, I genuinely wasn't hungry when I arrived (quite late) and the food tasted amazing, the chefs they employ here are top notch. Value for money? Absolutely, the rate for the room was less than alternatives (hotel chains) and the food/drinks were very reasonable. I was so impressed with my stay that I've offered to take my wife there for a weekend retreat in the near future

Have visited this lovely hotel twice for lunch. On both occasions was very impressed by the professional and friendly service from Richard and each of his team . The place has a lovely warm, relaxed vibe. Tempting menu and the homemade truffle Mayonnaise offered to accompany our Chargrilled Hummus salad bowl was delicious. Can highly recommend.

Only went in for afternoon tea, but it's so good. Super dog friendly, gorgeous scones and sandwiches that are a meal in themselves. Well worth a visit.

What a beautiful find! Staff were so welcoming from the second we walked in and there was a good choices of drinks. Inside was cosy and dog friendly. The food was really nice, great choice and brilliant quality, it wasn't the cheapest place but was more than worth it. The views to the river outside were also lovely, would highly recommend a visit

Room was cosy, not a lot of hanging space if you are staying for more than a couple of nights. Staff were excellent, very friendly and attentive. Food was delicious and good choice. Beautiful area to explore from.

On way home from Oban we popped into the Woodside for lunch. We haven't been here for a good few years and to see the transformation from previous visit was wonderful. Very tastefull upgrade, staff were delightful and very accommodating. We had a lovely lunch and even bought one baked cake and scone to take home. If out and about in this area do visit the Woodside as you shall not be disappointed. Highly recommend.

We stayed. We ate. We LOVED it. The rooms are brand new, immaculate, comfortable, pet friendly, and quiet. We loved the decor and the wallpaper. The showers were divine. And the food was superb. We loved the Sunday roast. Parking was ample and close. But the service was simply the best. Vickie was so friendly and helpful. Really lovely. We wish we had stayed longer.

We came for dinner with our 3 year old and were very impressed! Service was professional and friendly, food is top quality pub food in a relaxed hotel setting. They had a separate gluten-free menu and vegetarian/vegan menu, which meant they dealt very well with my husband's gluten and dairy allergies.

Staff were really great, lovely decor, but the place got EXTREMELY warm while we were there (and this was on a very cold day) and it took ages for the starters to come out. Thankfully the mains came out quickly once the starters were done.

Stopped off at the Woodside for full Scottish breakfast whilst visiting Doune Castle. Excellent and filling, the breakfast set us up for the day. We did not stay overnight in their overnight accommodation, but the rooms looked excellent value for the rates they charge.

We found The Woodside Pub & Restaurant on our last day here & wish we had found it on day one! Lovely venue, beautifully refurbished. We didn’t stay here but used the lovely restaurant. Food was excellent and as vegans we were really happy with the plant based options - several creative choices. To top it off they are dog friendly too! Really good service, Richard was very attentive and had lots of interesting anecdotes about the history of the building. Just a 5 minute drive from Doune Castle, the two together made for a lovely day out
