Dropped into the popular Three Dollar Dewey's for a quick lunch. We were seated right away. Dewey's has a pub atmosphere and can be a bit noisy. When it's rainy and cold outside, it is a great place to be. The staff are excellent. They are friendly, helpful and attentive. We received our drinks immediately and they took our food order. I enjoyed a cup of hot tea while I waited for my order. I decided to try their New England clam chowder and it was amazingly creamy and thick with lots of clam chunks. Three Dollar Dewey's is clean, has good food, nice servers and is a wonderful place to enjoy lunch.

The absolute best Mac & Cheese we've ever had! Not even kidding, you MUST GO try it. Service was mediocre, but the place was absolutely slammed so I'll give them the benefit of the doubt. Overall cool atmosphere.

Excellent customer service and a very clean and nice inside. Ordered the burger Which was cooked perfectly and had an amazing grilled flavor. The bun was also toasted which made it even better. The pulled pork on the other hand was a little bit overcooked and the flavor was derived from barbecue sauce. Not sure what that was all about but I would not suggest the pulled pork sandwich. The bacon wrapped scallops were also very good along with the dipping sauce. The mango have an arrow dipping sauce was great which we got to try.

Super fun bar vibe, great vegan menu options!! We got the vegan nachos with guacamole and planned to order food, but were so full from the huge portions that we had to walk around for a few hours then come back! When we did, we tried the Buffalo tofu sandwich and that was incredible as well. A bit loud and crowded - If that bothers you, go in non-peak hours like mid afternoon.

Love Deweys. We went for their $20 Pub Steak special. It does not quite look like what they show online, and the cook was above the Rare level we asked for, but it was a good deal at $20. Definitely worth stopping by for some brews, free popcorn for munching, and the steak while the deal is running. Their Mug Club is being pushed hard this year. It’s a good deal for folks that come often! Consider it! The popcorn is s good pub marketing move. The salty, crunch keeps you drinking! Ha! All the staff were friendly. Service was average or above. Friendliness was excellent though. I greatly appreciated the bathrooms. It’s always disappointing to see a business not care about their facilities. That’s typical of bars….but not this one! Thanks a lot 3DDs! We’ll be back like always!

We stopped here for the first time on Saturday, 6/18. We were seated right away. The staff was prompt and friendly. We just had appetizers, no alcoholic beverages. Have you ever heard of a jumbo pretzel charcuterie board?! We haven’t and it was fun and delicious. We also had chili nachos which were delicious. The onions rings were ok. If you like thick rings, you’ll like. We’ll be back next time we’re in Portland.

I got my very first lobster roll here! It was intimidating looking because it was heavy on the claw meat but I mostly enjoyed it! The fries were good too. Our waitress was super friendly. Only downside was the large ground of rowdy guys at the bar - I saw some customers leave quickly once they were getting louder. We stuck around for one post meal beer - good variety of Maine beers on tap! Overall a good experience!

Came in while on vacation. Recommended by a friend. Our waitperson, Dani, was excellent. She was able to chat with us and give us recommendations for other places to eat at our next stop (2 Cats was amazing!). The burger I had was very good. Nachos were okay (just a little too long in the oven). Would recommend!

After spending so much time down in Portland and constantly walking past this place I can finally say I have tried Three Dollar Deweys. Heard good things about this place as it has been around so long. Went in during lunch and didn’t have any wait as minimal amount of people were around. The staff were friendly and attentive. I can imagine during the weekend late night this place is very busy, has dive bar vibes for sure. The food came out quickly and was pretty decent. By no means do I believe it’ll be the best food you have in Portland but for a pub/dive bar the food is good. The mac n cheese and the fried chicken sandwich would be two options I’d recommend. An iconic long standing business of the area that is worth swinging in for a beer/cocktail or two and a bite to eat.

I’m going to be honest, when you walk in… it looks a bit dated and maybe even a bit divey. PLEASE give this place a chance. It’s such a fun time, it’s so fun, and the service is great. The food is great and the beer is cheap. Could you ask for anything else? Lexi is the sweetest bartender and such a sweet soul. We met plenty of fun characters sitting at the bar and met new friends. Get eh chili, the lobster roll, the Mac and cheese, and BOY will the quality of the steak SHOCK YOU. Also, the popcorn is FREE! Cmon! Do I need to say anything more. Come in, get a $3-5 beer and enjoy a good eats with positive locals. Tell Lexi I said hi!

Stopped in for lunch, service was quick, accurate, and friendly. Staff was excellent, and the food was great. Comfortable, cool place on an overly warm day. One order of fish and chips, one farmhouse burger, a few beers, and 2 happy, well-fed customers. Thanks!

Three Dollar Dewey's is the best. The bouncers aren't always easily identifiable. They could be inside, in the entryway, or outside. If you're slam dunk wasted keep your wits about ya. Dewey's serves bar food - some seafood, and its always spot on. Dewey Dog all day baby

Must try Turtle Cheese cake. We stopped for drinks and dessert. Danielle (our waitress with the Kitty pin) thrilled us with her warm smile, knowledgeable and accommodating service, and just being sweet.
