Very friendly and relaxed atmosphere. Off the beaten track, a proper hidden gem! Not being robbed for good homely cooked pub grub. Have never left this establishment still hungry with the big ol portions and irestistable portions of pudding!
We often go to the Clifton for Sunday lunch and always receive a very warm welcome from Fee Mig and Lynn we popped in for a quick drink on Saturday night and ended up eating and staying for the evening. Great food entertainment and company. Thoroughly recommend a visit.
humans and canines made very welcome. Real ale at room temperature. Friendly staff. Food home cooked and delicious, but be warned, large portions are large!
The food is always amazing. The landlady is great the landlords not bad either lol. Great little local pub always a friendly welcome for two legged and four legged friends 😀
Very nice landlord and landlady, both could not be more helpful and the baby's head, mash, peas and gravy were second to none. For the uninitiated baby's head is steak and kidney suet pudding.

Mig and Fi are very welcoming hosts. Service very good. Good choice of food both from the menu and the specials board., all cooked or prepared to order. From my observation Fi and Mig have a good rapport with their regular customers. I believe that Sunday roasts are we'll worth visiting the Clifton for.
For a pub that's out of the way it is excellent, the home cooked food is wonderful and the beer is just as good. Mig and Fi are marvellous hosts, if you haven't been go, go now! 😁😁
My favourite pub. Good food and the landlord and landlady make you feel really welcome. I would recommend you try it for yourself.
A very basic pub with friendly , helpful staff a lovely fire and good value food including Pheasant stew, unusual desserts and the beer was good
