Update - 2nd visit to try fish and chips. Really well cooked and loved the fresh homemade tartare sauce. Really impressed with the food, service and decor here at really good prices. The burger was really tasty and patty was generous! Loved the caramelised onions on it. Coleslaw was also high quality and fresh which is hard to come by. Best burger in the area definitely. Can’t wait to come back and try something else.

Whilst we had a lovely evening, I wouldn't rush back. I was gutted the fish pie, which was divine, and was no longer on the menu. The food was average and didn't reflect well on the prices charged. If I compare it to the Malt Shovel or the lovely pubs at similar pricing, it wouldn't fare well. A real shame as the owners are lovely, warm, and welcoming. Just need a number of tweaks to get it up to standard.

Lovely meal out. Very friendly and attentive staff. Lovely, fresh, hot food. Will definitely be going back again!! Easy to park as lots of space in the car park. Modern and clean facilities.

Couldn't fault the food. Reasonably priced, hot, tasty and nicely presented. Excellent service and friendly and attentive staff. It's a shame though that the indoor eating area is so small. If the pub was extended, I would imagine that there would be no problem in filling the tables.

We ate here last night, fab food and service. A slight issue was more than professionally dealt with. Fab service and it was a nice touch that the manager and owner came over for a chat. We had chicken schnitzel and pork belly, lovely.

Great place for a Sunday roast. Been a few times during the week and the food has always been pretty good too. Usually seen a nice couple of ales as well which is always welcome. Timmy Taylor and Brakspear last time if I remember rightly.

Popped in for a pint on the walk home. Nice pub, decent garden and hardly had to wait to be served. Guinness was cold, menu looked appealing and the car park is a decent size. Happy days.

Table of 9, accommodating staff and tasty food. My sister and I shared starters of prawn pil pil and buffalo chicken wings which were delicious. Main courses and desserts also delicious. We’ll be back!

Amazing quality and presentation of the Sunday roast. Will definitely be returning. Slightly dark in the front room due to the storm so partially hard to see food whilst eating.
