Beautiful old coaching Inn in the heart of the town. Very good restaurant which you need to book. The staff are very friendly and nothing is too much trouble. Very good service in the bar and restaurant. The room we had was a "spacious room "with a super king bed, walk-in shower and tea/coffee making facilities. The breakfast is really unbelievably excellent, top quality ingredients and very helpful staff to serve it. I'd give it 10 stars if it were possible.

Very friendly staff, reserved me a disabled bay for my stay and the room *even though last one* was amazing. I skipped breakfast as I wasn't well, but it looked amazing. Will definatly come visit again!!

Staff were so welcoming and helpful. Evening meal and breakfast delicious. The White Horse is a lovely hotel, great ambience, cosy and friendly. I highly recommend a stay at this beautiful hotel. If you do stay here make sure you visit Box Hill, an area of outstanding beauty!

Don't usually leave reviews. You know what it's like, you are thinking of going / staying somewhere, and you read the reviews, and they are mostly good or better, then a few of them are bad, and others terrible, and that puts some doubt in your mind, and / or you think some people will never be satisfied  / are professional moaners....? Well, stayed at The White Horse for a cupla nites and was great. Booked thru Secret Escapes and v good value, as included breakfasts and 3 course dinner ea nite. Room was typical, round the back in the 3 storey previous addition element. Room fine, shower v good. Bitta noise at nite from plant / aircon but no big deal. Evening meal in Dozen v good. Her indoors had squid and ceaser salad, all nice. I had salmon paté n toast, fine. Main course generous portion of seabass on fair bit of samphire. AbFab. Very interesting menu choices, very varied. Typical desserts, all fine. Cocktails £9, unlike the £14 at our nearest hotel where we live in Southend-on-Sea. Breakfast choice v good and v nice. Great choice of standard and more interesting stuff, as per Dozen menu. Staff at both great. Service good. Parking at rear, for a fee, with reserved space as we drove in - great. In the morrow, went to Box Hill view point, stepping stones on river Mole and Denbigh estate vineyard, which is extensive. All 10 mins away, or less, by car. Great walks everywhere on Surrey Hills AONB. Reception / lounge area all aircon, room not. Location right on High Street with busy busselly feel, and all manner of shops right outside. So, had a great stay with all aspects perfectly adequate or better. Will be back.

This was a paradox to be sure, i mixture of great B&B, and poor evening meal. Service was great, reception staff were great and the waiters and bar staff were too, however the evening meal was average at best and poor vfm, the rooms were comfortable and clean and all in all a pleasent stay

Very nice rooms and generally they had done a great job of making this very old building feel in keeping but also not tired and pleasant.

Wonderful staff, rooms and amenities. We arrived jet-lagged after a long trip from Canada and the receptionist went out of her way to accommodate early check-in. The food in the dining room was well prepared and tasty and the wait staff cheerful and helpful. We held a family gathering on Sunday afternoon and the buffet provided was elegant and plentiful. Highly recommended destination!

Amazing pub. Beautiful, quirky rooms, full of character and perfectly well sized. The proportions were spot on- I had a cosy double but I didn't need any more space and would book the same room if I was with my hubby (here on business just now). I sat in the bar for a few hours on a Sunday and did some work. The staff were attentive, kind and so considerate. I had food and drink and it was all amazing- the banoffee pizza is brilliant! I cannot recommend the pub more. I would absolutely stay here again and the people made it. Thank you so much to everyone in the team for such a lovely stay!

What a lovely hotel with fabulous staff. Helpful and polite. The room was lovely and we have enjoyed our stay. Breakfast was excellent and again, all the staff were super accommodating. The night manager Adam was also very nice and welcoming, as was his wife. We would look forward to a future stay. Thankyou for making our stay so wonderful. I recommend you book a parking space prior to your visit.

Truly high quality place. A little bit on the expensive side though. Food is not great, but where is it anywhere around.
