Excellent food, friendly service. The pub had just launched a South African themed menu when we visited. They're daring to be different, hats off to them. It isn't budget prices, but nor is it budget quality. I'm looking forward to my next visit already.
The gentleman serving at the bar was extremely helpful and friendly. It was a nice place to stop for a drink. There's a jukebox inside and a spacious garden at the back. There's also Indian food takeaway available
Lovely country pub right by the A24. Good food and good beers. Quite spacious inside with a nicely enclosed beer garden with a climbing frame that is safe for kids to play on while you eat or drink.
Landlord is very friendly and accommodating. Has a reputation (justly deserved) for decent food.

Now the Dukes Head is an Indian Restaurant it is fab . The Indian cusine is one of the best. Love the salmon tandoori. Staff are all very friendly and go out of their way to make you feel welcome.
Besides being a great venue, with delicious curries, their "no worries ma'am, we'll help get your car started" service is brilliant. Thank you for helping to get a lady home late at night. We'll be back.
Excellent service, delicious food and beers. Very reasonably priced. Friendly, warm and welcoming staff. Comfortable clean restaurant and bar and a lovely beer garden with kids playground.
We were passing by and thought we would try the Indian menu... what can I say, one of the best Indians I’ve had the uk! I would highly recommend.

Beer was a bit of a disappointment, but looks like a great place if you like South African food. Friendly staff and appreciated the grub after a muddy run at 9 o'clock at night.
Friendly pub with in-house Indian restaurant...."British Raj". Food was exceptionally good.....Tandoori chicken to die for!! Nice log fire.
The food was incredible such a lovely comfortable interior and decor, service was a little slow but that could have been the time as it was during the holidays

UPDATE: now stopped food for the moment but the owner has plans to start something new in the way of food.
Went try the new curry house based at the pub, lovely food and excellent service, as it was at the previous location.
