Very good food (had fresh Scottish mussels in wine and cream sauce with home made chips) very attentive staff and great atmosphere. We meet up with our friend in this pub because they have 2 dogs which are allowed here. This is the third time and all three visits were delight.

As a drinkers pub,as a venue for a private party or as a place to have a decent meal it'll meet(and exceed)all or your expectations.

Been to this lovely pub many many times and plan on going there many more! Good prices and as lovely as it is inside the outside area with the little booths takes the cake for me! Tried one of their hot dogs on my most recent visit and it was huge as you can see from the pictures and absolutely delicious! Messy to eat but it was honestly so good I didn't mind one bit!

My favourite pub in Dorking. Low beams, friendly staff, great selection of drinks including usually a few good cask ales. The garden is great for a town pub with nice little undercover booths all different.

Nice pub on Dorking high street, with a good sized, outside area at the back. Stopped for a pint (£5.40 Amstel). Didn't try the food so cannot comment.

Yet another wonderful family Christmas party in the Narnia room. Love the decor and such a short journey through the wardrobe. Staff are lovely and helpful and the food is delicious. Highly recommend for private functions.

First time to Dorking, and wandering around the town, looking for somewhere to eat popped into this place, on the recommendation of the sister pub across the road (which wasn't doing food, but also looked very nice) and was pleasantly surprised... A very nice lunch, good pint, dog friendly, and a spacious garden with cubicles. Nice atmosphere, friendly staff. Will go again next time in town.

Great place for a Sunday roast. Staff very attentive and friendly. Food was great and portions very generous. The baked brie cheese was fantastic to share and lamb roast one of the best I ever had. My wife had a chicken roast and enjoyed it as well. Definitely worth to mention is gravy they use, which is not a typical cheap stuff, but more like a jus - absolutely fabulous. For sure will be back.

A warm welcome on entry, no fire lit on a cold March morning though the radiator was on. Home made soup was A+ wish I’d left with the recipe, Nachos almost as good. Dog friendly too. Nice mix of table sizes and the sofas in front of the fire looked inviting if it was lit! Good selection of ale and lager. What’s not to love?

Good food and service, and, as the name suggests, rather homey with the lovely plants 🪴

Friendly service, a small choice of beers but good that they had a local one on to try. Nice outdoor seating to enjoy out the back of the pub if it’s sunny. Hidden away from the hustle and bustle of the town centre

Great service friendly staff. Busy. They could do with sorting out their toilet seats in the ladies!

Nice peaceful pub, no screens. Lovely landlord and landlady (is that a phrase?)

The staff coped exceptionally well with 16 WI ladies booked in for lunch. We were very pleased with the menu choice and the level of service from Sam and Nicky was professional and unobtrusive. Ashley, chef extraordinare, delivered food to 5* standard. The pub is ideal for walkerrs and is dog friendly, the eating area was out of bounds to all the well behaved dogs, so everyone is catered for. Well done to all concerned.

Very nice old pub with a nice selection of beers, ales and spirits. I last went on a friday and there was live music on which was great. Nice outdoor bit out the back with huts and a hidden room through a wardrobe! Not your average local thats for sure.
