We visited Sang Thai on a wet Sunday evening at the recommendation of my daughter who had eaten there recently.
Wow! We were blown away with how gorgeous the food was and the service was second to none! We will definitely make the trip to eat there again plus recommend to all our family and friends 😃🌟
Delicious food, prompt service and friendly staff!
Have eaten here many times and food has always been fantastic.
Fantastic meal and service! Great atmosphere and
Really tasty choice of food. Would recommend
As a lover (of Thai food!), I have to say this was the best Thai meal I've ever had. What flavours - and in a lovely setting. Thank you.
A favourite of ours in Dorking. Always enjoy a good meal here and the staff are great.
like at home!, always fresh food and service like in 5 star place! !
Great food, great service, not much else to say really, I will definately be back!
Excellent food and service, reasonable prices, can't fault it.
Amazing food and atmosphere and very friendly staff.
delicious food, very morish! Very friendly waiters, too, nothing is too much trouble for them. Highly recommended!
Only ever had great food here !
Lovely people creating solid Thai in a cozy setting. Generous hospitality and good heat if you ask for it! Now the only Thai in town but definitely the good one.
An excellent restaurant. We come here every time we stay with my parents in Dorking. Last night the pork ribs, mushroom toast, pad Thai and sweet and sour pork were a hit. The food is nice and light and doesn't feel as oily as many Thai restaurants. The service is also excellent. We will be back on our next trip!
Excellent. The only complaint I have about this very fine establishment is that one has to walk through part of the service area to get to the loo... a minor issue!
I was wandering down Dorking high street with my parents and we decided to pop in here on a whim. We hadn't been here before but we were having a hard time finding a restaurant that was serving late (21.30). We all had some experience with Thai.
Despite being the last customers that evening in a largely empty restaurant, we were not in the least rushed or made to feel unwelcome. We all have very different and picky tastes but had no trouble finding interesting things on the menu. The wine menu was excellent as well.
I would recommend eating in as the presentation and service was half the experience. But the food is nothing to sniff at either; very good value for money (Dorking usually delivers with London pricing) and delicious from the first course to the last. I will definitely be back here soon.
PROPER Thai food. In Dorking.. Sang Thai in Dorking serves about the best Thai food I've eaten outside of South East Asia. Their Gai Hor Bai Toey (marinated chicken wrapped in pandanus leaves) is sensational. As is the shredded green papaya salad.
This is not the 'Thai' food you get in pubs - it's not all red and green curries. The menu's impressively diverse - and the presentation is beautiful. The food tastes like the best stuff you'd find in a Thai street-market, and it's presented like the food you'd find in a 5-star resort hotel. And the staff are courteous and polite.
My only criticism is that there's not a beautiful jungle-fringed beach outside.
First time here. The service was excellent and the food was very tasty and delicious. Will definitely go back. Thank you Sang Thai!!
We went here for an early evening meal with our 8yr old and 6yr old children, we loved it, they loved it! The children were made so welcome, they can’t wait to go back. The food was delicious, a great selection and plenty of dishes not too spicy for the kids.
Service was efficient and also friendly and thoughtful.
We all can’t wait to go back!
We had dinner at Sang Thai after it was recommended by a local as one of her favourite restaurants. The service was professional and friendly. The vegetarian options were delicious and the presentation excellent. Would certainly return and recommend Sang Thai. They have an interesting lunch menu too.
Very nice food and atmosphere! The Pad Thai is the best I've had in the UK so far. Really liked the prawn crackers as well. Service is friendly and helpful. 100% would recommend.
Great food. I have not had as good a Thai meal in ages. If I lived within travelling distance I would go every week to this restaurant. Well worth a trip. I had hot spicy soup with prawns and duck curry with sticky rice. It's just a shame it's not in Sheffield.
Food was average to my liking as I like really spicy 🌶️ food. Customer service was exceptional as staff is genuinely pleasant and aware. Exemplary service! Even though we ordered a take away, they kept us informed about the waiting time so we ordered drinks as waiting time was long. They gave us complimentary prawn crackers as wait time was more than average. They make you feel valued and staff is very genuine.
Really excellent tasty dishes and lovely staff. It's been a while since we've been here due to all the covid stuff and we so enjoyed visiting again after all this time. We've dined here fairly regularly across many years and it's been consistently good throughout - and continues to be I'm pleased to report! A great local restaurant which deserves our support 👍
This place is the absolute bomb, it's incredible. The food was full of flavour and cooked so nicely - particularly those battered sea food stick things, so lightly battered and well done it melted in your mouth. The staff was so friendly and nice even the other customers smiled and told us the name of a dish, it was overall a wonderful experience topped off with minty chocolates and warm hand towels.
I will absolutely be returning there, and would recommend in a heartbeat. 11/10!
We love our date nights here, the food is excellent and the staff are lovely!
Absolutely fantastic. Enjoyed every dish and will definitely be returning. You really couldn't ask for better service. Highly recommended.
